At the end of the season, Lucy is shot by Gideon in an attempt to reset the timeline. Gideon believes resetting their lives will help them remember and prevent future disasters. But Lucy hesitates to die because she cares about her son Isaac and her mother, Sylvia, and doesn’t want to leave them alone.

When the shot is finally fired, Lucy seemingly dies. However, only the sound of the gunshot is heard, and the social worker’s face is not seen afterward. Hence, it is possible that Lucy might still be alive. Maybe it was Gideon or someone else who got shot.

After Lucy’s supposed death, Isaac is placed in foster care and stops speaking. In a big twist at the end, Isaac sees Lucy again and calls her ‘Mum,’ showing she might have survived the gunshot. At the same time, this Lucy could be from a different timeline, or maybe Isaac has somehow traveled between different realities to find her.

Isaac’s ability to jump between loops suggests that there could be more than one version of Lucy. The revelation about what transpired with Lucy will likely be made in the next season of The Devil's Hour.

Who is the Serial Bomber in The Devil's Hour Season 2?

Throughout the season, the identity of the serial bomber remains shrouded in mystery and is not revealed even in the finale. Even though Lucy and Gideon manage to stop the attack at the toy store, they can’t figure out who the bomber is.

The only clue is that he wears a yellow hoodie. Lucy initially thinks Steve Dunn might be the bomber but eventually realizes she is wrong. The real bomber gets away, leaving the bomb in the toy store.

A theory suggests that the bomber might be an older version of Isaac. Isaac has special powers, like switching between realities and remembering past lives. In the future, an adult, Isaac, visits Gideon in prison, angry and looking for answers about why his mother died.

This makes some believe that Isaac could grow up to be the bomber, possibly to stop Gideon from messing with time. Another theory is that the bomber somehow knows Gideon personally. Instead of killing Gideon, the bomber only knocks him out, which seems strange. We still have to wait for the next season to find out who the bomber is.

What is the Significance of Isaac’s Watch in The Devil's Hour Season 2?

Isaac’s broken blue wristwatch plays a crucial role in time loops. Unlike other anchor objects that help characters like Gideon and Sylvia stay connected to reality, Isaac’s watch serves a special purpose.

He says it ‘keeps the ghosts away,’ but instead of just anchoring him to one place, it allows him to move between loops. In season one, Isaac uses the watch to transport himself to Meredith Warren's house, and by season two, he begins to master this ability.

When Sylvia gets stuck in another loop, Isaac holds her hand and uses the watch to bring her back to reality, helping her regain her memories. In the finale, Isaac uses the watch to save Lucy from being arrested by DS Taylor.

While hugging her, he touches the watch, which transports them to another loop. Although Lucy feels pain from the transition, they escape the police. This moment shows that Isaac’s watch is a tool for traveling between loops, which could play a bigger role in future episodes.
