Inspired by Frederick Forsyth’s iconic novel, The Day of The Jackal TV series is reaching its finale with just three episodes left. While it follows the core elements of the original story, the series has been reshaped for the modern audience, offering a new take on the action-thriller.

Actor Eddie Redmayne has helmed the leading role of the skilled assassin and is joined by Lashana Lynch as Bianca a British intelligence officer and other cast members. As seen in the premiere of the TV series, Bianca's mission is to track down the jackal at any cost, as their adversarial relationship forms the backbone of the show.

As mentioned above, only a few episodes are left until The Day of The Jackal finale, and the latest episode seven proved it's not going to be easy for either of the two main characters. While Jackal is known for his exceptional skills and for keeping his identity hidden better than anyone, Bianca is constantly digging deep into her investigation to expose him.

Episode seven kicked off in Tallinn, Estonia, where Jackal, Bianca, and Ulle Dag Charles (UDC) were preparing for the River launch. Additionally, MI6’s Operation Anubis helped them investigate the assassin and were closing in on him. Meanwhile, Jackal had convinced the venue worker Rasmus to carry out his mission.

While M16 managed to create a photofit sketch to identify Jackal, he convinced Rasmus to let him enter the venue under the guise of being an architect. This helped the assassin to gather information to initiate his plan. Meanwhile, UDC's security pressurized him to cancel the event, but he chose to continue despite being aware of the threat to his life.

The episodes also highlighted the tension among Jackal's family members as Nuria’s mother and brother, Alvaro grew more suspicious about Charles and asked Nuria to lend them the money they had found. Despite Nuria's denial, Alvaro took cash and even stole a gun. Little did he know that Jackal had been keeping an eye on his security cameras.

Later in The Day of The Jackal Season 1 Episode 7, Operation Anubis gained a lead when a police officer identified the sketch as Peter Gibson, a man staying at an Airbnb in Tallinn. Bianca and Victor took no time in heading to the place and encountered gunmen set to eliminate them. Thankfully, the two escaped unharmed, leaving Bianca stunned after realizing she was a target.

When they reached Airbnb, soldiers joined the raid and the Jakcal had already moved out. The assassin had been staying with Rasmus and preparing for his mission. Jackal then returned to the place where her previously scoped out. Flashback scenes reveal his time in the Army and how he met Nuria.

The Rivern launch event finally began, with UDC protected by bulletproof glass, security guards, and secret service agents at the place. While Bianca's family was watching the event on TV in London, Winthrop and his team monitored it from New York.

When Activist Rima Buttons introduced UDC, he rose onto the stage via an elevated platform. The Jackal was all set to strike, but an unexpected shooter arrived and tried to kill UDC. Despite the chaotic situation, Jackal initiated a shot but missed, and inadvertently revealed his presence to Bianca and Victor.

The assassin then abandoned the plan for the day and escaped through the crowd. However, Rasmus noticed him, and Jackal had no choice but to break his neck and throw his dead body on the roadside. The Day of The Jackal episode 7 ends as Jackal must ensure his safety, now that Bianca has finally seen him.
