The Conners fans assemble! Your favorite sitcom is nearing its end with the Season 7 finale. The story kicks off after the events of Roseanne, featuring the titular working-class family in Lanford, Illinois.

While the show centers around the personal and professional struggles of the family members, it's best known for the emotional depth after the matriarch Roseanne Conner tragically passed away from an opioid overdose.

This event shapes the tone of the show, introducing both humor and more serious topics into the plot as Conners navigate a life without Roseanne. Season 7 kicks off with Jackie pushing the family to take legal action against the pharmaceutical companies responsible for the opioids that led to Roseanne’s death.

This results in tension among the characters, especially Dan and Jackie, as Dan never really wanted to recall the painful memories. Only two episodes are left to wrap up the sitcom, and fans will enjoy both episodes on April 23, 2025.

Yes, that's correct. The last two episodes will be available on the same day to let fans enjoy the finale without waiting. So this is going to be a bittersweet moment as fans have poured much love for the sitcom since its debut.

Before Season 7 arrived, it was confirmed that the acclaimed show wouldn't come back for more. Executive producer Bruce Helford was asked to shed light on filming the last moments of the sitcom, to which he shared (via The Wrap):

"We all had our moments during the course of the six episodes... But it was hard. Everybody was in a certain amount of, honestly, denial. Because it felt like the show could go on forever."

Helford was joined by his co-executive producer, David Caplan, who added:

"Think about how long not only that cast has been together, but a lot of our crew came from the early “Roseanne” show, so the people on stage have been together for a very long time, like and for it to come to an end was pretty traumatic."

As for the cast, Sara Gilbert, who appears as Darlene, mentioned in another interview with the Los Angeles Times that she couldn't believe the show was ending and felt confused. John Goodman also mentioned treasuring the memories since the cast has been together for so long.
