The Challenge: Battle of the Eras, a magnanimous 40th season with 40 veterans from all the previous seasons aired on August 14, 2024, on MTV.

The season called the former challengers back to amp up the hype and competition in the show and divided them into four Eras. Each era is represented by a team of 10 members, who participate in daily challenges to save their teammates from the elimination arena and win the privilege of selecting their opponents.

So far, the show has released 6 episodes and will go on for two more episodes before announcing the winner for season 40, also known as 'The Challenge 40'. However, the spoilers have already started to leak with regards to the possible winner of this season. Pinkrose, the Vevmo user, who successfully predicted the winner of The Challenge: All Stars Season 4, has predicted the winner of The Challenge 40 too.

According to him Jordan Wiseley from Era 3 could be the winner of The Challenge 40 in the male category. However, he hinted at a possible tie between Rachel Robinson of Era 1, and Jenny West of Era 4 in the female category, citing their karma points would play a vital role in deciding the final outcome.

Irrespective of all the theories, fans will have to wait for the finale to know who will eventually win this season and take a whopping prize of $1 million home.

Who lost the elimination challenge in episode 6 of The Challenge: Battle of the Eras?

Episode 6 of The Challenge 40 aired on September 25, on MTV, and witnessed Jonna Mannion and Brad Florena's elimination. Jonna of Era 3 and Brad of Era 1 competed against Rachel of Era 1 and Cory of Era 3 respectively, in a challenge called 'To the Point'.

In the elimination challenge, the players had to throw the ball and make it land on their opponent's spikes attached to the wall. The player to put the maximum number of balls on the spike was to win the elimination round.

Jonna and Brad lost the elimination challenge by a close miss and bid farewell to the rest of the challengers. After her elimination, Jonna shared that she felt disappointed by her teammates' performance in the daily challenge, which made her realise that she might be the one going into the elimination arena. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly on September 25, 2024, she said

"So my team was playing to not lose, but not win. And it killed me."

Brad also opened up about his competitor in the elimination arena, Cory, and said his strategy was far better than Brad's, and therefore it made the elimination round difficult. He said:

"That was a very difficult elimination to figure out. My strategy was nowhere near as good as Cory's, and Cory's at the prime of his career in The Challenge. He is so motivated to get that win."

Episode 7 of The Challenge 40 will air on Wednesday, October 2, and will bring a new set of challenges, along with a new elimination. The show has come close to its finale, and getting eliminated at this point in the game will surely feel like a loss.

The looming predictions will keep on building anticipation among the fans, but only the finale episode will be the ultimate stamp of proof when it comes to deciding the winner.

Fans must stay tuned to MTV on Wednesdays at 8 pm ET/PT to watch the new episodes of The Challenge: Battle of the Eras.
