Comedian and actor, Tim Robinson's new project, The Chair Company was picked up by HBO for its streaming platform earlier this week.

The series was written and directed and stars the man himself: Robinson. Zach Kanin executively produced the series while Andrew DeYoung accompanied them in directing and executively producing The Chair Company.

This comes after HBO & Max Comedy’s Executive Vice President of Programming, Amy Gravitt released a statement, gushing over Robinson and Kanin’s skillset and announced,

“I couldn’t be happier to announce the pickup of this wildly enjoyable show.”

Robinson’s The Chair Company is also being joined by two bigwig production hub gurus including HyperObject’s Adam McKay and Todd Schulman and Igor Srubshchik.

What is the plot for The Chair Company?

Roinson's The Chair Company is set to pack humor personified in a rather new avatar. The comedian will be playing the character "William Ronald Trosper," a hardcore conspiracy theorist.

After an unintentionally humiliating ordeal at work, William begins to spiral into a paradox of conspiracies leading him to explore the incident in an unorthodox fashion. With Robinson involved, fans of his can only imagine this ending hilariously for the character.

In another statement, Robinson and his friend Kanin extended their heartfelt gratitude to HBO for picking their series, and to their team who helped them create the show. In a joint statement, the duo said in elation,

“We are so excited and thankful to get to make this show with HBO, HyperObject, and all of the amazing cast and crew that have helped to create it.”

Thus far, Robinson and Kanin have remained mum about further details about the plot and what to expect from the show. Similarly, the number of episodes and the possibility of a new season for The Chair Company also remain unknown and are under speculation.
