Who is the next bachelor for The Bachelor Season 29?
ABC has confirmed that Grant Ellis will be the center of Season 29. Fans saw him earlier in The Bachelorette Season 21 but it did not end well for the star. The network says that he is ready to look for love again but this time, from the other side. This is what Grant's bio was during Jenn Trann's season which aired in 2024:
"It’s easy to see what makes Grant such a catch. His smile lights up every room he walks into and is followed by his positive attitude. Grant is a mama’s boy who loves poetry and reading, and says he’s here to find the love of his life. The former pro basketball player is passionate about his new career as a day trader and hopes to be able to provide for his future family."
It continued,
"When Grant isn’t hustling at his job, he loves watching the Lakers, going bowling, and singing his heart out at karaoke. After his last long-term relationship didn’t work out, Grant is excited for the chance to fall in love again and can’t wait for his “Bachelorette” journey to begin."
Grant is from New Jersey but is currently based in Houston. He used to be a student-athlete at Iona College and played overseas such as in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. He has not specified why his sports career ended other than that he had an injury.
His new job involves trading stocks while in Houston. He loves to go to work out and is a huge fan of the LA Lakers. While on The Bachelorette earlier this year, he mentioned how he wants to visit every single country on the planet. While being interviewed during the season exit, here is what Grant had to say,
"I want a family. I want to be happy. I want a wife. I want to be in love. I want that. I want to give everything to somebody, and I want them to give everything to me in return."

The Bachelor Season 29 will start airing on ABC on January 27, 2025, at 8 PM Eastern Time. The season premiere will be 2 hours long after which regular episodes can be expected at the same time every Monday.
