The Accident, the Mexican thriller by Leonardo Padron, became a worldwide sensation just days after its release on Netflix. In the show, Emiliano's housekeeper is killed by Charro's wife, Lupita. Charro's wife hires a professional assassin named Barroso to poison him.

The show begins with a tragic event in which four children from different families are swept away by a gust of wind while playing on an inflatable bounce castle. Unfortunately, three of them do not make it out alive. Paula, Fabian's daughter, survives but is lost, tearing four families apart.

In the aftermath of the tragedy, each parent chooses revenge, creating more problems. But in the final episode, things change when some characters understand that the only way to overcome their dark fate is to look back at what they've done and own up to it.

The Accident wasn't just because of bad weather, but also because someone was careless - they didn't secure the inflatable properly. When Javier and Brenda look at the birthday video they recorded on their tablet, they see the bouncy castle's stakes lying around. That should have been pinned to the ground.

Everyone suspects Moncho, Emiliano's helper, who was supposed to do the job, intentionally neglected his responsibilities. Charro gets very angry, sets Moncho's house on fire, and threatens to kill him. Moncho gets arrested and taken to the local police station, where he's questioned about what happened. He says he didn't do it, but no one believes him.

In the beginning episodes, Emiliano messes up by not securing the stakes to the ground because he is busy with a phone call about a business deal. However, everyone points fingers at his housekeeper, Moncho. It's not hard to see why - he's an easy target because of his lower social status.

Charro, Lupita, Brenda, Mauricio, and Daniela are all fed up with Moncho because of his apparent mistake, and they don't believe he's telling the truth when he says he didn't do it. Charro is so angry that he wants to make Moncho pay, no matter what it takes. So, when Moncho dies, everyone becomes a suspect in his murder.

After Gabriel's death, Lupita is determined to get revenge against Moncho. Charro agrees to help her because he's furious about losing his son. He tells a police officer on his side to take care of Moncho, but things don't go as planned. The officer gets called away to be with his newborn baby.

Lupita isn't happy that Moncho got away, so she hires a professional killer named Eulogio Pinto, also known as Barroso. Barroso sneaks into the police station and poisons Moncho with a candy bar that contains traces of arsenic.
