1) Ana Claudia Talancon as 'Daniela'
Ana Claudia Talancon plays Daniela, Rodrigo's mother, one of the main protagonists in The Accident. When she's not at home spending time with her children and husband, she's out protecting her community in Santa Cruz, Mexico.
Daniela is a detective and part of the local police task force. She investigates the alleged murder and missing person case of the three children, including her son, concerning the heartbreaking accident.
Throughout the 10 episodes, Daniela appears determined and unable to move on from the pain of losing her son. With her husband Emiliano also on the suspect list, Daniela fights tooth and nail to find the person responsible for the deaths.
2) Sebastian Martinez as 'Emiliano'
Sebastian Martinez takes on the role of Emiliano—Rodrigo's father and Daniela's wealthy husband. Martinez's character plays a lawyer in The Accident who appears to be greatly successful. Emiliano can get engrossed in his work and lose sight of what's in front of him.
During his son's birthday, Emiliano received a work call. Although he was supposed to keep an eye on the children, he never truly did. His negligence, as he confessed, led to the death of three children.
Although guilty over his son's death, Emiliano attempted to make things right throughout the series. Sadly, it wasn't enough for the grieving parents including his detective wife whom he initially lied to.
3) Shani Lozano as 'Yolanda'
Yolanda (played by Shani Lozano) is the house help at Rodrigo's parents' home. She and Rodrigo were known to have shared an affectionate bond. Since Yolanda has kids of her own, her children and Rodrigo often hang out together. In The Accident, although Yolanda loved Daniela and Emiliano's son, she did not feel the same about his parents.
She often appeared to resent the detective-lawyer couple and didn't exactly get along with them. After the tragedy struck, she became one of the prime suspects in Daniela's investigation due to her dislike of them. However, she wasn't the cause of what had happened.
4) Silverio Palacios as 'Moncho'
Silverio Palacios plays the charismatic and lovable Moncho—Yolanda's husband—in The Accident. Like his wife, Moncho was Daniela and Emiliano's housekeeper who also wasn't particularly fond of the couple—but loved Rodrigo like his own son. Nevertheless, he almost became the scapegoat in The Accident.
Moncho was initially suspected of being responsible for the tragedy because he was in charge of securing the tent where the children were playing. However, after Emiliano's confession, his name was cleared.
Sadly, before the end of Season 1, Moncho was killed by an anonymous person in a shocking plot twist. Whether or not someone made the wrong assumption, or intentionally wanted Moncho killed, remains unknown.
5) Erick Elias as 'Fabian'
Erick Elias plays 'Fabian'—Daniela and Emiliano's long-time friend and acquaintance. Fabian is a psychologist in the small community of Santa Cruz, Mexico. The trio share a hearty friendship and often spend time with each other.
They were rather close until his daughter Paula went missing on the day of the accident. Fabian's daughter was playing with the three children who died when the bounce house was brought down by a mighty gust of wind.
Although the bodies of three children, including Rodrigo's, were recovered, Fabian's daughter was missing. After a three-day frantic search, Paula was finally found and returned home safely to her dad.
6) Erendira Ibarra as 'Lupita'
Erendira Ibarra plays the scandalous Lupita in The Accident. She is the crafty businessman El Charro's wife and shares a son, Gabo, with him. Gabo was among the children who sadly died during the incident rendering Lupita furious.
She would often pressure Daniela to uncover the truth about the person responsible for her son's death. Lupita, unfortunately, endured a great deal of insults and abuse from her husband, causing her to act out on several occasions.
Because of his constant torture, she eventually ended up having an affair and was afraid someone, especially he, would find out. Despite the skeletons in her closet, she's a feisty and invigorating character who would go to any extent to uncover the person responsible for Gabo's death.
7) Alberto Guerra as 'El Charro'
Alberto Guerra plays the nonchalant husband of Lupita, El Charro, in The Accident. Apart from his neighbors Daniela and Emiliano who are well-off, he too has amassed a small fortune from the world of business. El Charro is an impulsive character who acts before thinking things through.
After the death of his son, he became even more emotionally unstable and was on a path of rage, sparing almost no one. Like his wife, he too was desperate to find out the person responsible for the incident. In his temper, El Charro accused Moncho of causing the unfortunate event.
He also got physical with him, repeatedly blaming him for the loss of his child. Although he acted as a heartbroken father, he did technically break the law which saw him arrested on the show.
