In a recent Instagram post, Shark Tank investor Kevin O'Leary argued that spending money on yourself is worth it, particularly when it comes to how long you live and how fit you are. He also talked about regular exercise, eating mindfully, and avoiding vices such as smoking, binge drinking, and drug use. O’Leary reportedly spends an hour and a half a day riding 12 miles, lifting weights, and stretching to sustain his fitness.

O’Leary stressed that living a healthy lifestyle is a simple but effective strategy:

"Do not overeat, and really watch what you eat, because that's an easy fix. It's an easy hack, if you want to call it that. You feel great, and you're helping your body, which is what you need," he said.

He maintains that these exercises sharpen mental acuity, a prerequisite for success in any career, and physical well-being.

O’Leary offered his own wellness routine as evidence of his underlying belief that self-care is a necessary investment. He writes that anyone who expects to be successful long-term needs to be healthy themselves because he believes that a healthy body creates a sharp mind.

Shark Tank's Kevin O'Leary emphasizes the importance of physical fitness

Shark Tank investor Kevin O’Leary reminded us that the path to true success starts with investing in oneself, especially our health. He argues that spending time and money on longevity and physical fitness is no less vital than diversifying financial holdings.

Anyone may improve their body and mind by spending as little as 90 minutes a day on stretching, strength training, and cycling.

"You know, you invest in so many things as an investor, but you also have to invest in yourself, physical, fitness, and longevity."

The Shark Tank OG believes that your body must be cared for like a business portfolio in order to succeed in the long haul. Physical fitness should be a priority because it has a direct effect on output and overall well-being.

O'Leary revealed the 'single biggest' factor holding us back from living our best lives. He warned against destructive behaviors that can undermine performance and health.

"Watch what you eat, watch how much you drink. Don't do a lot of drugs, that's bad for you," said Shark Tank expert.
"You've got to exercise every day. What I like to do, because I'm living in Miami a lot, is take my bike out for a 12-mile ride every day and then do some weights, a little stretching."

He maintains his physical fitness, mental acuity, and attention by giving his body time each day.
