Shark Tank investor Kevin O'Leary shared a clip via his Instagram on February 11, 2025. In the clip, he mentions secrets and tips about business. Referring to an incident that happened with himself, Kevin O'Leary started describing it.

Furthermore, he mentioned that no matter what business, everything can't be "done" by oneself. He also stated that he learned this "real early."

Referring to his method of working a "marriage in business," Kevin O'Leary mentioned that he keeps searching for partners. He stated that nobody has "got everything." Hence having a partner would be worth it.

"I'm into like, marriage in business, finding the partners, to offset the weakness that you have. No dude's got everything. Like, you just don't. And the pain, the suffering I had to say I'm giving up half my equity, if I can solve for my weakness, ended up being my greatest strength."

He added:

"Partners in marriage, in business, love, hate, interaction, crazy stuff, bouncing ideas, hearing what the other guy thinks, the other girl thinks, that's business," shared Shark Tank mentor.

Shark Tank's Kevin O'Leary discusses the importance of finding a partner and more

Recently, Shark Tank mentor Kevin O'Leary opened up about how no one has "got everything." For that reason, having a business partner would be of the essence. Since he learned that "real early," he gave up "half of his equity."

Sharing more about it, Mr. Wonderful stated that giving up his equity was his way of solving his "weakness" and turning it into his "greatest strength."

He also discussed how no matter what kind of partners, whether they are partners in marriage or business or even in a love/ hate relationship, hearing the other person's ideas was "business."

He captioned the Instagram clip with:

"The better the people you have partnering with you, the more money you make–it's that simple."

Further in the reel, Kevin O'Leary talked about:

"My thing is, I learned real early. You can't do it all yourself. You got to partner. I remember that moment. I said, you know, I'm not going to make it, because I'm not good at logistics," stated Kevin O'Leary.

He concluded the reel by sharing some more insights about a business and how we all need more individuals, starting with a partner. The purpose behind that, according to the Shark Tank investor, was to build, manufacture, and distribute "stuff."

"'I'm a sales dude and I can market like a banshee. I need a guy to help me with making it, distributing it, warehouseing it, and selling it. I gave up half of my equity to a guy that could do that and we exploded on the upside."

The lesson to learn from Kevin O'Leary here was that as he stated, having "better people" for partnering, the more money, individuals would be making.
