Tex Mex Motors is back with another season. The restoration experts are returning to Netflix screens this holiday season, bringing some old classic vehicles back to life.
After restoring multiple vehicles in season 1 of the show, the dynamic duo - Scooter and Rabbit are ready to restore more cars in their new, bigger store.
Watch as junkers become jewels when these guys transport vehicles from Mexico to El Paso for more radical repairs. The pair travels from El Paso to Mexico, digging out automotive gold and the occasional rusted junker, fighting the inevitable battles against muscle memory like any other restoration project along the way.
The charismatic Scooter, known by his trademark phrase 'Ay Cabrón!' delivers his skills and passion to each project. In partnership with Rabbit, they keep pursuing their dream of saving and restoring classic cars, ensuring another season full of epic car makeovers when the show flies back onto screens on November 22, 2024.
Tex Mex Motors Season 2 - The cast
Season 2 of Tex Mex Motors casts some of the OG from the first season with a few new additions to the team.
This season's cast includes an automotive expert, Marcos Scooter, with former businessman and car enthusiast, Late Rob Rabbit Pitts. Rabbit would be seen on the screen for the last time as he passed away from wrapping up the shoot for this season.
In addition to them, the show will also feature a skilled mechanic, Jaime Hjelm, a talented master fabricator, Wesley Zachary, and a few other members needed during the restoration process.
What happened to Rob Rabbit Pitts from Tex Mex Motors
Rob "Rabbit" Pitts, a crucial member of the Tex Mex Motors family, died from stomach cancer on August 25, 2024. He finished the shooting for Season 2 of the show but could not see it reach the fans.
A video went live on his own YouTube channel, titled "This is Goodbye," the next day he left the world. The video talked about his cancer journey and how he got to know about the disease.
The video shares that after being taken to the hospital multiple times due to acid-reflux symptoms, it wasn't until March that he was diagnosed with cancer.
During the video, he shared gratitude to the world for achieving his dreams,
"Don't be sad for me. I accomplished my dream of buying my own store, finishing Season 2 of Netflix and marrying the love of my life."
As the video comes to an end, Rabbit shared his last advice to his fans,
"If your body is telling you something is wrong, don't stop until you figure it out. Ask questions and get answers."
This video left the fans heartbroken.
