Tex Mex Motors Season 2 aired recently on Netflix, and all eight episodes have been released. The vehicle restoration show on the platform featured a restored and sold '66 Lincoln Continental.
The second episode saw the Tex Mex Motors team selling the '66 Lincoln Continental and the Indian Chief motorcycle. After restoring both the classic vehicles, Rabbit shared about the deal they made:
"What a saga it's been with the chop-top Chevy and the Indian Chief, but we got'em both sold. We bought 'em both together for $6,500 in a two-for-one deal. We put 40 grand in the two of them, but we sold them for 1,20,000 together. With the sale of the Lincoln at 90K, we're in the black at $147,250, which is a big step towards our goal of half a mil."
Tex Mex Motors Season 2 Episode 2: Rabbit and Scooter sold the Lincoln Continental at 90K
The second episode of Tex Mex Motors Season 2 featured Marcos "Scooter" and Rob "Rabbit" Pitts selling some restored vehicles, including a '66 Lincoln Continental and an Indian Chief motorcycle.
Rabbit and Scooter went to a car show to showcase the Lincoln to car collectors and potential buyers.
Scooter felt positive about going to the car show and featuring the Lincoln with Andy's custom paint dragon on its sides.
"This is the perfect time to show our Lincoln Continental because they don't come to look, they come to buy. I guess we'll see what people really think about Andy's dragon too.'
In Tex Mex Motors' second episode, several car collectors inquired about the car's price and the customizations they had made.
Among the potential buyers was Zeke, a car collector. Rabbit saw him interested in Lincoln and chatted with him.
"I guess you saw through my glasses. I do like it, man. It's a good year. But, damn, I'm having a hard time with this dragon, man. Good luck to you, man," shared Zeke.
Later that day, on Tex Mex Motors, Rabbit received a call from Zeke, the car collector.
After inquiring about the pricing, he mentioned the issue with the dragon painted on the car. Zeke said it was a "little bit too much" out there. However, Rabbit offered a solution and told Zeke that if he was serious about purchasing the Lincoln, they could "change the dragon" at an expense.
"Would you give 90 grand for that car if I calm the dragon down?" asked Rabbit.
After securing the deal with Zeke, Rabbit went to see Andy and shared the news. Andy, a newly joined team member who is the paint and design expert, painted the Lincoln.
Rabbit mentioned that the Lincoln was "sold"; however, there was a "catch." He told Andy that the new owner "liked" the paint on the car but didn't "love" it.
"I'm proud of the dragon, but I get it. We've got a business to run. We sunk 25 to $26,000 in this Lincoln. And if Rabbit can't get 90 grand for it, that puts us in a profit margin of around $60,000. So, still hurts a little but that I've gotta, you know, slay the dragon. But I'll take one for the team," confessed Andy.
Andy then repainted the car, as the new owner, Zeke, had chosen. The latter part of the second episode featured Rabbit and Scooter selling the '66 Lincoln Continental to car collector Zeke for $90,000.
Netflix is now streaming all the episodes of Tex Mex Motors Season 2 on the platform.
