The drama-packed series Tell Me Lies is back with season 2. Picking up from season 1, fans can see the aftermath of Lucy and Stephen’s intense breakup. The season dropped its first two episodes on September 4, Wednesday.
The cast includes Jackson White, Grace Van Patten, Sonia Mena, Alicia Crowder, Spencer House, Branden Cook, and Cat Missal. The new season also welcomes two new cast members, Tom Ellis and Thomas Doherty.
Released in 2022, Tell Me Lies Season 1 revolved around the story of the two lead characters, Lucy Albright and Stephen DeMarco. Set in the year 2007, the two are students in a fictional school called Baird College, where they meet and eventually fall in love. The series documents their eight-year-long relationship that turns into an unstable and rocky union.

New episodes are expected to release every Wednesday on Hulu at 9 PT and 12 ET on Tuesday nights or Wednesday mornings.. The second season consists of a total of eight episodes, including the season finale.
Tell Me Lies Season 2: What to expect?
The season explores the aftermath of the volatile breakup between Lucy and Stephen that occurred in season 1, when both former lovers return to Baird College. The official logline states,
"Yet, while very much at odds, they find themselves in a new version of their addictive dynamic, which is as infuriating as it is inescapable.”
It further reads,
“Meanwhile, the story expands deeper into the lives of Lucy and Stephen’s friend group, as the fallout from Season 1 impacts all of their lives in unexpected ways.”
Season 2 of Tell Me Lies also shows how the actions of the characters affect those around them, and it doesn’t stop there. With the introduction of two new characters—Tom Ellis playing the role of Oliver and Thomas Doherty playing the role of Leorole—energies are bound to change.
In previous media interactions, showrunner Meaghan Oppenheimer referred to the series as 'more of a war story’. She elaborated on season 2 in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter:
“Stephen and Lucy are broken up at the start of the season, and they’re no longer really in a close romantic relationship. They’re set out more to get even with each other, to hurt each other, but they have to do it from afar.”
She further added in her interview that,
“The challenge was, how do we keep that tension between them now that they’re no longer in a relationship? And it’s also about the consequences of their actions and how it impacts all of the characters surrounding them.”
