Ted Lasso star Nick Mohammed sparks Season 4 speculation among fans: Reports

Good news for Ted Lasso fans, the sports drama might return to your screens sooner than expected. Even though there is no official update out yet, Nick Mohammed teased the Apple TV show fans with a little update.

Comedy actor and standup artist Nick Mohammed who plays the role of Nate Shelley has often been in the news for his hilarious antics on social media. This time he shared an update about rescheduling his comedy shows due to his shooting dates.

Ted Lasso Season 3 ended on May 3, 2023. Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) was seen leaving AFC Richmond and moving to the U.S. While many thought that might be a sweet ending for the sports drama, fans also hoped for another season. With several hiccups for almost two years, the new season seems to be moving in a positive direction.

What had Ted Lasso star Nick Mohammed said regarding Season 4?

Nick Mohammed in the video where was seen teasing fans behind his warm tone ring light by stating, 'Oh Hello, Mr Swallow here!'. He then explains why he had to move a few dates of his stand-up special Show Pony. With what seemed to be a Ted Lasso script in his hand, in a funny tone, Mohammed said,

"It is with deep regret that I have to move some of the dates of my latest live show. I know there will be a lot of speculations as to why have you moved these dates."

By now anyone can guess that Nick Mohammed has some important updates to give. He continues,

"I'll be honest, it is for some filming that I have not been able to shift for love or money. I cannot say what I am filming for but it will be announced shortly"

He proceeded to give some major hints without naming the Apple TV series. He continued,

"In the meantime, I would appreciate it if people just didn't speculate as to what they think it might be. It's the last thing I want, for people to be going mad"

When can you expect Ted Lasso's Season 4 update?

The Emmy-winning sports comedy-drama might be back for a new season. As per the comments of the co-creator Bill Lawrence, there might be a chance for the sitcom to return after three successful seasons.

In an interview with The Los Angeles Times, Lawrence talked about the lead character and writer of Ted Lasso Jason Sudeikis, and the show. He said,

"It's almost a self-reboot. I think that he (Sudeikis) always had in his head another story he wanted to tell. "

The news of the possible return of the show first dropped as the news of a potential reunion happened in 2024 autumn. With positive updates from Warner Bros productions and lead actor Jason Sudeikis's statements, a season 4 is likely on the way.

Season 3 ended with Lasso returning to his native United States from an eventful coaching spree in AFC Richmond England. The storyline may head in several directions. While the titular character's ending seemed sorted, the ending of Ted's coaching Henry's soccer team back in Kansas might be the plot of the upcoming season.

However, we might be able to see some of the important cast members back in the Apple series. This includes Brett Goldstein as Roy, Brenan Hunt as Beard, Hannah Waddinggham as Rebecca, and Nate Shelley as Nick Mohammad. Other cast members might be Juno Temple as Kelley, Jeremy Swift as Leslie, and James Lance as Trent.
