Survivor 47 released its tenth episode on November 20, 2024, on CBS. With a new challenge came a testing negotiation and an intense elimination. In the previous week, Sol's elimination led to a withered relationship between Genevieve and Teeny, as Tenny lost her trust in Genevieve, and other players were also doubtful of her as she orchestrated Sol's elimination strategically.
Episode 10 brought a fresh week filled with immunity, Tribal Council, and Reward challenge. However, Genevieve remained the focus as other contestants considered her a "secret assassin." Genevieve wanted to distract everyone from her and shift the focus to the Tuku tribe which was the strongest tribe as of then.
For the Reward Challenge, the contestant competed to gain access to the Survivor Sanctuary while the Immunity challenge brought a rice negotiation in exchange for either a "Shot in the Dark" advantage or sitting out of the challenge for immunity. On the other hand, the Tribal Council for this week was presented with a name, as allies shifted their stance at the last moment and voted one of theirs.
What happened in episode 10 of Survivor 47?
Episode 10 of Survivor 47 started with a fresh Reward Challenge, as the contestants chose to give their "shot in the dark" advantage. For the reward challenge, the contestants had to race a ball from the end to the finish line but with the help of their heads.
The 9 contestants competed in a team of three players each and the winner was allowed to enjoy as Jeff Probst said a lavish lunch at Survivor Sanctuary. Kyle, Sam, and Rachel, the castaways from the Blue team were first to finish the challenge and enjoy their delicious lunch.
During the Immunity Challenge, the contestants had to balance a ball on a wooden disk placed on their head and their body on a wooden stick. Kyle won the immunity challenge and initiated the conversation of letting out Gabe from the game.
The "rice bag" negotiation raised the bar higher as Jeff Probst gave two options to the contestants. They had the option of not performing the challenge, which they refused as aforementioned. The contestants decided to give up their "shot in the dark" privilege which made Sam doubt his shot at getting saved in the Tribal Council.
However, Sam had nothing to worry about as the group had already strategized to focus on Gabe, as Kyle wanted the focus out of him. The other target was Genevieve who got on the list because of last week's action. The contestants were questioning Genevieve's loyalty and no one wanted to bet their shot on her anymore.
Caroline and Kyle did not mince their words at the Tribal Council and shared that they wanted Gabe out as his strategic and strong gameplay could pose a threat to them. As the council deliberated and chimed in, they came up with a decision and Gabe Ortis was eliminated from episode 10 of the Survivor 47.
Gabe was disappointed as his journey got cut short and also commented on Carolina for latching out on her. However, he expressed strong will and confidence in his performance that " he will back" on some other season of Survivor.
