Following Lois' battle with cancer since Season 3, the eighth episode of the ongoing season brought relief to fans as she no longer needs treatment. However, this hasn't freed Clark Kent's family from the threats of Lex Luthor as the foe constantly tries to put them in danger and cause chaos in Smallville.
The fallout after Superman's identity reveal affected almost everyone including Jonathan, Jordan, and Natalie as they aced challenges while going for a movie. Not only this but Los almost got hit by a brick thrown at her by someone who might dislike the superhero.
As the episode progressed, Jonathan's girlfriend was harassed for dating a public figure which resulted in a breakup. However, the two got back together by the end of episode 8. Before the episode ended, Lex Luthor also challenged Lois for a debate on Gordon Godfrey’s talk show.
Lois smartly handled the debate by threatening Lex with key information about his daughter Elizabeth. However, the debate was interrupted when Superman had to leave to tackle a new danger in the town.
