Hoping to take down Lex Luthor, Superman and Lois took on different tasks. While the superhero confronted Lex in Metropolis, the foe was trying to distract Amanda McCoy with shares in Luthorcorp. Meanwhile, Lois was working to get information about the source that caused the attack on her reputation.

Despite Amanda's warning, Lois delved deep into the investigation and found Bruno Mannheim. Lois offered sympathy for the loss of Bruno’s wife and was hoping to get information about Cheryl Kimble, a woman tied to Lex's manipulative history.

Initially, Bruno was hesitant to help Lois but eventually revealed that Cheryl was once romantically involved with Lex but was discarded when she no longer remained useful to him. This is what Amanda is facing right now, and Lex's next move intensified her anger and frustration.

Later in Superman & Lois Season 4 episode 9, Lex moves toward the next step in his plan, and this time without Amanda. Lex is determined to locate Doomsday, who resurfaced in the mines, and plans to use him against Superman for the final showdown.

Tensions rise in Smallville in Superman & Lois Season 4's second-to-last episode as Lois is trying to expose Lex Luthor and Superman is concerned about the growing threat of Doomsday. At the same time, the Man of Steel struggles with his diminishing powers due to the incompatibility of Lane's heart with his body.

Considering the tense situation, Superman begins training his sons Jonathan and Jordan as they must work together to defeat Luthor and Doomsday. As the training began, the two brothers faced setbacks but gradually embraced their differences.

Meanwhile, Lex Luthor's obsession to destroy the Kent family takes him back to Smallville to locate Doomsday. Lex either wants to control or destroy the monster, believing that it's the key to his ultimate powers. He then partnered with Milton Fine, upgraded his "killer suit," and transformed it into a weapon to withstand the monster's strengths.

Lex's personal vendetta against the monster is highlighted in Superman & Lois Season 4, Episode 9, hinting at how deeply the creature's actions have impacted him. While Lex continues with his plan, his behavior toward Amanda turns cold, and he eventually discards her just like Cheryl Kimble.

Lex's schemes in Superman & Lois Season 4 finally led to the unleashing of Doomsday, as the monster evolved into a more comic-accurate version with sharp and deadly spikes. The monster will cause chaos in Smallville, and an epic confrontation will result from Lex's obsession with eliminating the entire Kent family.

A dramatic showdown between Superman and Doomsday took place in Superman & Lois Season 4 when the monster began destroying the town and didn't recognize Lois when she tried to make him remember. As the situation turned chaotic, Superman arrived on time and pushed Doomsday into the building of the Parker Bus Lines.

Jonathan and Jordan joined their father in handling the situation and ensured everyone was safe and out of Doomsday's threat. At the same time, Lex is enjoying how Superman is challenged and wishes to see him die with his own eyes.

The Superman & Lois Season 4 episode ended with Clark Kent aka Superman expressing love for his family, and Lois and their two sons worrying about his fate. Soon after Superman said he loved them all, Doomsday threw him away, leaving the superhero's future uncertain as the screen fades to black.
