Superman battles Doomsday in Superman and Lois Season 4 Episode 10

The finale starts where the last episode left off: the battle between Superman and Doomsday. Things were not looking good for the superhero, who was taking multiple blows from the Kryptonian beast from the Inverse World.

Things start to look bright after Lois overrules Clark's earlier orders not to get their children involved and asks them to save their father. The twins lure Doomsday away so that Clark can heal from the beating he has taken.

While Clark catches his breath, he is also worried about the boys. Lana Lang and Henry Irons also show up with a plan to kill Doomsday with a prototype hammer. Clark then asks his sons to bring the beast to Smallville, where they kill him temporarily.

In the finale episode, Clark decides to take him into space because the yellow sun would weaken him because he is from the Inverse World. In the final moments leading to his destruction, he asks Clark not to punch him and let him drift away to the sun. He finally drifts away and is destroyed once and for all.

Lex Luthor finds his end in Superman and Lois Season 4 Episode 10

With one villain out of the picture, it was time to focus on this season's mega villain-Lex Luthor. Lex arrives in Smallville and battles it with the twins until Lois baits him to battle with her instead.

She uses John Henry's explosive disk to destroy the front of Lex's war suit. Meanwhile, Superman spends some time in the sun to recharge his body for fighting with Lex. He takes the villain into the sky, where Lex uses Milton's Kryptonite drills to battle with Clark.

While one of the drills goes scarily close to Clark's heart, he manages to take it out and battle with Lex. With one emphatic blow, he is sent to the ground, where Superman catches him.

After a one-year leap, Lex is shown back into Stryker. But he will not be the king this time as the warden tells him his position has already been filled. Bruno Mannheim greets him as his new chair.

Did Clark and Lois die at the end of Superman and Lois? Exploring the leap in the show's finale

Since Superman did some healing in the sun, he lived a long life with Lois and their twins, Jonathan and Jordan. The twins grew up well, married, and fathered a lot of children, a dream Clark and Lois shared.

Then, we learn the fate of the couple. Clark reveals in a voiceover that Sam's heart gave him 32 years to live, and he lived a fulfilled life with his family. Lois' cancer relapsed, and she died peacefully with her family by her side.

With Lois dead and the twins settled with their new family, Clark felt lonely, so he adopted a dog and named him Krypto. Clark too passed peacefully in bed with Jonathan and Jordan by his side.

This felt like a finale for a show because, in the final moments, Clark wakes up to see his young family again to reminisce about how his second death is so different from the first.

He lived a full life surrounded by his family and other people at Smallville, saw his children growing up, and got a chance to grow old with Lois. Even though the couple died, the ending was perfectly happy for both.
