Rapper Kendrick Lamar opted for a bold choice for his performance at the Super Bowl 2025, in the Caesars Superdome, New Orleans. He sang the Grammy-winning Not Like Us, his much-discussed track dissing rival rapper Drake. To add to the drama, Drake's reported ex-girlfriend and tennis superstar Serena Williams turned up to perform on Kendrick's diss track at the gala.
The song, released on May 4, 2024, has just won five awards at the 2025 Grammys including Song of the Year and Record of the Year. The hit number is the fifth installment in his series of diss tracks aimed at Drake.
Not Like Us is Kendrick's direct attack on the Canadian rapper Drake. According to Wikipedia, in the song, among other things, Kendrick calls out
Drake's alleged inappropriate s*xual behavior with minors.
In fact, alleged s*xual misconduct has been a common theme in many of Kendrick's diss tracks. That Kendrick chose to perform Not Like Us on such a big platform as the Super Bowl 2025 suggests he is not ready to let go of the feud with Drake anytime soon.
Drake and Kendrick were once on favorable terms, but after their feud started both the rappers have released multiple diss tracks insulting each other.

Kendrick Lamar brings feud with Drake to the Super Bowl 2025
Looks like Kendrick Lamar, the big winner at Grammys 2025, is not ready to let go of his feud with Drake anytime soon. He sang his multiple Grammy-winning hit, Not Like Us, at the Super Bowl live in front of 80,000 fans, with millions watching from their homes.
Drake's ex-girlfriend Serena Williams was there, too, to perform on Kendrick's diss track, making it more brutal for the Canadian rapper. According to a report in The U.S. Sun:
However, the most shocking cameo was tennis superstar Serena Williams — who briefly dated Drake in 2011 and reportedly remained on bad terms in the years since.
To take things up a notch, fans noticed Kendrick was wearing a chain during his Super Bowl performance, with a lowercase 'a'. While many fans speculated what this means, some argued that it represented his lyric, 'Tryna strike a chord, and probably indicated 'A minor'. Kendrick pays extra attention to the 'A Minor' note in his lyrics, and many on social media feel it is a direct reference to his pe**phile allegation against Drake.
Reddit user u/FrannyBoBanny23 wrote about the chain and its representation:
''The chain was obviously a nod to “a minooooooorrrr!”
The whole stadium at the Super Bowl 2025 went crazy when this part of the diss track came, with everyone screaming "A Minor," something that was also witnessed at the Grammys 2025.
Drake has sued Lamar for Not Like Us
Lamar's Not Like Us performance has not surprisingly angered Drake, who sued his and Lamar's record label, Universal Music Group, in October 2024.
He accused the label of failing to protect artists by allowing and promoting the release of diss tracks like Not Like Us, which are meant to defame and insult artists like him. Despite his lawsuit, the song has become a worldwide hit, and has broken several records on Spotify.
In addition to gaining popularity through social media, the song just won five awards at the Grammy 2025.
After Lamar's Super Bowl performance, some fans are assuming that the rapper bought this diss track to the NFL because of Drake's lawsuit. An X user, @atamanoyare, commented:
''I swear it would not have been this bad had he not sued.''
