Shark Tank mentor Robert Herjavec appeared on a podcast by Lewis Howes, which premiered on February 5, 2025. The tech entrepreneur discussed various things during his appearance, including his childhood, purchasing his first Ferrari, his struggles and hardships, and more.

In one of the segments, where the host asked Robert to share three things that he would want to share with his past self from a decade ago, the Shark Tank investor stated:

"The sun always rises tomorrow. I think the reason I went there is, you know, and not just personally but in business, I tended to have these horrific like, 'Oh my gosh, if we get this one deal, the world will change.' Good or bad. So that's the first thing I would say: the sun always rises. Don't make mistakes; they'll kill you. Don't bet at all on one thing kind of thing."

Shark Tank's Robert Herjaves opens up about sales, power, and more

On the Lewis Howes' podcast episode Shark Tank Host: My Parents & I Escaped Communism With $20! THIS Unlocked Wealth for Me! Robert Herjavec shared insights about sales, power, and more topics.

When the host asked Robert about the most common opinion, which is that people "tie wealthy people with stingy, mean people?" Robert replied that it was similar to "sales."

"It's like sales. If you ask most people about sales, they would say, 'Oh, I don't want to be a sales rep because they think I'm a used car salesman.' But I'm sure with your experience, the greatest salespeople you've met are probably super nice and super helpful."

Further, Shark Tank mentor stated that "Sales" meant the "ability to help" people, not to get them to "buy something they don't need." Wealth is not the "creation or subjugation," according to Robert.

"What's the quote I read a long time ago? 'Power is not the subjugation of the weak. Power is the ability to get the powerful to see your vision.' And I think it's true. I think most people that don't have wealth want an easy answer as to why they're not doing it," shared Robert.

The next question that the host asked was quite interesting, which was, if Robert could go back a decade, around the year 2014, when he was "about to go through" his darkness, sadness, and depression, what three tips or advice would he give to his past self.

Shark Tank mentor stated that the first thing would be, "The sun always rises tomorrow." He mentioned that the reason behind the things that Robert went through during that period was because he had "horrific" expectations, and things didn't always work out accordingly.

"I think the second thing I would say is, "The world is your oyster," like...it, really like you think about like: somebody owns this building, and surely they may have inherited it, but let's go back to the first like, somebody bought this land. Built this building. Somebody created it. The world is incredible, like the things that we can do."

The third thing that Robert shared was, "You are all-powerful." He meant that there was "nothing" that we could not achieve. If we believe and are willing to work and work "hard enough," anything can be achieved.
