The latest episode of Suits LA brought back one of the fan favorite characters from the Suits universe. Gabriel Macht’s Harvey Specter finally showed up in Episode 4, aptly titled Batman Returns.

Macht made a cameo appearance as Harvey, providing a few essential details about the mobster Pellegrini. The episode also gave us a glimpse of his friendship with Stephen Amell’s Ted Black, as they engaged in an amusing banter about who’s Batman among them.

Read on to find out more about their friendship.

Harvey and Ted’s nonsensical Batman banter gives a glimpse of their friendship in Suits LA

In Episode 4, titled Batman Returns, we meet Harvey Specter in a flashback scene of Ted’s time in New York in 2010. In the scene, Ted continuously misses his pitch and hits the batter’s shoulder during a baseball game in the prosecutor’s league. Macht’s Harvey comes in and comments on Ted being the closest thing to Batman besides him, and also that he has hit the batter’s shoulder for a second time.

Ted retorts:

"First of all, you’re the closest thing to Batman that I’ve ever seen besides me."

He later admits to Harvey that his mind is preoccupied with his case about Pellegrini, to which Harvey tells him to get his head straight and win the game and that they would discuss the case after the game.

After winning the match, Harvey buys a round of Macallan 25 for Ted, Eddie ( Ted’s brother), and himself at the bar. Harvey then informs Ted about someone in his firm working for Pellegrini, and giving the mobster information about the case, which might have led to a witness' death.

As Harvey reassures Ted of his family’s safety, the conversation takes a playful turn when Ted asks Harvey how long he is going to play in the prosecutor’s league, even after leaving the DA’s office five years ago.

Harvey then asks in jest if Ted wants to play with him or against him, which starts another banter between the friends where they debate about who among them is Batman. The banter ends with the Arrow star accepting that he is Robin and Harvey is Batman.

Although their continuous banter about who is the caped crusader turns nonsensical, it gives us a glimpse of their friendship. The chemistry between the friends also reminds us of Harvey’s famous friendship with Mike Ross in Suits, ushering a wave of nostalgia.

The flashback also establishes the friendship and rapport between the two lawyers, which might be essential for Harvey’s future appearances in Suits LA.
