What happened in the previous episode of Suits LA?
In Suits LA Episode 9, Bat Signal, Harvey Specter came back to help Ted with the mob boss case. The two wanted to send John Pellegrini back to prison after he got parole. Earlier, in 2010, Pellegrini had been found guilty, but Harvey had to admit in court that Ted had gotten some financial records illegally.
Because of that, the judge dropped some charges, and Pellegrini was released. Ted and Harvey went to New York to stop him again, their plan being to get Pellegrini’s right-hand man, Vinnie Santoro, to talk. At first, Vinnie refused, but after a fake car explosion made him think Pellegrini was trying to kill him, Vinnie agreed to help.
Ted gave Vinnie’s signed paper to the District Attorney, who then gave Vinnie a deal and protection. At the same time, Stuart was dealing with his client, David Bowie, being named in a murder case. David maintained that he was innocent, but his alibi was not very convincing, and he was arrested.
