Shark Tank's Kevin recently posted an Instagram video where he gets introduced to the Muhle Glashutte SAR Rescue Timer.

As the clip begins, the host introduces Mühle Glashütte to Kevin, an independent and family-owned brand that remains faithful to its heritage. For years, the firm has produced timepieces in Germany's famed Glashütte region.

"This is a German brand. So this is from that same region of Glassuta, which we talked about. So this is Muehle Glassuta. Unlike many other brands, the name of the owner is still Muehle. So they're independent, still family owned, multiple generations producing in Glassuta. This is known as their Saar Rescue Timers. And they wanted to create a watch for search and rescue missions, for search and rescue teams in Germany."

He then gets into the technical details of the watch,

“This watch is crazy. It’s 1,000 meters of water resistance. The crystal for the sapphire is four millimeters thick alone, but you can’t see it. You see how it’s flat? So they hide it, and then cyclops is hidden underneath. You know how Rolex does it. It's usually that bubbled little effect. Kevin O’Leary, intrigued, adds, “So they did a reverse of it because they don’t want it to crack.”

Continuing the conversation, Kevin and the host also point out the rubber bezel on the watch. The host also reveals the price of the watch, which leaves Shark Tank's investors amazed,

"It’s actually quite an attractive watch price point. So it’s $2,500.” Kevin, surprised, responds, “You’ve got to be kidding. It’s pretty cool.”

To top it off, the host showcases the SAR Rescue Timer’s full loom dial. He explains.

"What they do is they have Super-LumiNova as a base for the dial, and then they’ll cover it with the indices and the markers.”

This ensures exceptional visibility in low-light conditions, further cementing the watch’s practicality and appeal.
