Love Is Blind Season 7 stars Monica and Stephen got engaged in the pods and bonded over their shared political interests and belief systems. After the honeymoon vacation, all six engaged couples moved in to live together before meeting their friends.
In episode 8, Stephen and Monica discussed meeting Monica's family. Stephen was concerned about being unemployed, but Monica reassured him that she was there for him.

The couple was slowly navigating their way through the struggles of cohabitation. As episode 8 panned out, audiences saw Stephen and Monica join a pressed flower workshop. The couple had a lovely time bantering about whose art was better. Later in the episode, they also pondered the big question related to finances and assured each other of emotional security in the future.
However, as the episode was about to culminate, Taylor, one of the fellow cast members, visited Monica and informed her that Stephen had been inappropriate with her during the party in Mexico.
Later, the cameras focused on Stephen and Monica, and Monica was teary-eyed, confronting Stephen about him texting another girl inappropriately the night before. Monica claimed that he cheated on her and was texting with a girl while away for a sleep test.
The couple broke off their engagement as Stephen walked out, and Monica took out her engagement ring, feeling betrayed.

Love Is Blind Season 7 threw a curveball at audiences when one of the freshly released episodes revealed a couple's broken engagement. In episode 8, Monica confronted Stephen about him cheating on her while they were on the show, engaged to her.
Stephen opened up about his past during the first date and told Monica about his cheating in previous relationships. However, Monica helped him look beyond the past and let go of his mistakes.
The couple had come a long way, crossing all the hurdles from the pods to living together. Stephen was about to meet Monica's father, and they were planning to get married on the show.
But soon, Stephen disappointed Monica and admitted that he had wronged her by texting a girl while he was on a sleep test. After Monica confronted him, he did not try to explain himself much and decided to walk out on her instead. He told Monica that he was sorry and, therefore, was leaving her alone.
Stephen's statement reads:
"I truly am sorry for hurting you, for wasting your time, and for coming on the show. I shouldn't have come on the show. I definitely don't deserve much. I am sorry. I will leave you alone now."
Monica felt ambushed by the situation and called Stephen selfish for walking out the moment he was confronted about his behavior. As the episode progressed, Stephen was seen picking up his luggage and making his way out of the apartment while Monica sat there crying. The camera zoomed out on the engagement ring taken off by Monica.
As soon as Stephen left, Taylor and Garrett, another engaged couple, visited Monica to console her. Monica exclaimed, as episode 8 of Love Is Blind ended, "I cannot believe this is happening."
Netflix released episodes 7 to 9 of Love Is Blind Season 7 on October 9. Fans must stay tuned to see who will walk down the aisle to get married in season 7. New episodes of Love Is Blind air on Wednesdays.
