What to expect in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew Episode 7?
With Episode 6 leaving the audiences on edge, Episode 7 is only going to set the stakes tighter for Jod Na Nawood and the youngsters—Wim (Ravi Cabot-Conyers), Neel (Robert Timothy Smith), Fern (Ryan Kiera Armstrong), and KB (Kyriana Kratter).
After dealing with leadership issues and strained friendships in the previous episode, the team has to cooperate to face the dangers of the journey. But Jod's precarious situation with the pirate Brutus (Fred Tatasciore/Stephen Oyoung) does not go away.
His clever play for survival through the "Right of Last Appeal" had his silver tongue full-blown, but his threat to lead the pirates to At Attin may have been empty. The next episode will probably reveal whether Jod's bluff pays off or pushes him further into the cold.
As always Bryce Dallas Howard keeps Star Wars: Skeleton Crew balanced with action and heart. Fans can look forward to more lessons in teamwork and leadership and all the classic Star Wars stuff – space battles and lore.
Recap of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew Episode 6
Episode 6 was titled "Zero Friends Again," and it was an emotional rollercoaster with a lot of action. The core four, Wim, Neel, Fern, and KB, were reeling from Jod's betrayal, literally dumped in a trash heap filled with amusing yet dangerous Trash Crabs.
Friction started building when Fern tried to exert control over the group, particularly with KB, who aired her frustrations over the captain's dismissive leadership style.
Meanwhile, Jod's cunning personality plays an upfront role as he survives the elusive pirate code. When brought before Brutus, Jod resorted to the Right of Last Appeal and charismatically transformed the anger of the crew into the hope of treasure.
His speech about common pains as pirates was moving, albeit part of his ruse to escape the hangman's noose. The episode closed with Brutus agreeing to let Jod live, at least temporarily, setting tension for what's ahead.
Critics, including Maggie Lovitt from Collider, have noted that Star Wars: Skeleton Crew Episode 6 was more geared toward a younger audience, with friendship and leadership taking center stage. Howard's direction was particularly praised for making the episode entertaining and meaningful.
