The CBS show is rated PG and has had a successful run with 4 seasons with a 5th and final season underway.

Announcement for season 5 of Star Trek: Lower Decks first came around April when the showrunners Mike McMahan and Alex Kurtzman dropped the news on Instagram. They both shared a heartwarming token of gratitude to fans of the series and encouraged them to join the show for an epic conclusion!

What is the plot for season 5 of Star Trek: Lower Decks?

Season 5 is set to conclude on a banger note with the OG team set to return and settling in their brand-new Starfleet positions after being recently promoted. The U.S.S. Cerritos is assigned a rather dangerous assignment to close “space potholes,” which are ensuing havoc in the Alpha Quadrant.

Fixing potholes wouldn’t be as bad because the official tagline for the plot’s synopsis explains,

“They also have to deal with an Orion War, furious Klingons, diplomatic catastrophes, murder mysteries, and the scariest of them all: their own career aspirations.”

It appears the Cerritos will be in the middle of chaos for a while before bidding adieu. Will they all make it out alive and attain a happy ending or will the fandom be gearing up for a tearful goodbye? Much remains to be unraveled in the upcoming season of Star Trek: Lower Decks.
