Santa visits the ER in St. Denis Medical Season 1 Episode 6
Aligning with the holiday season, Santa pays a visit to St. Denis not to spread the Christmas cheer, but for a 'private' emergency. Bruce and Matt attend a patient dressed as a Santa who visits the ER department with his girlfriend.
It looks like he was quite a romantic at heart, and to make things special for his girlfriend, he decided to propose to his girlfriend dressed as Santa by wearing the ring on his pr*vate part, which then got stuck there.
While the situation is unusual (and funny) for Bruce and Matt, they learn that their ring cutter is broken and that they cannot get the ring out.
While Bruce tries his best to find other options, which include using his sword, Matt contacts the nearest fire department, and they get the ring-timer just in time when Bruce is about to suggest amputation.
Alex and Ron have contradictory views on a patient in St. Denis Medical Season 1 Episode 6
Alex and Ron attend to an elderly patient, Bob, with blood cancer, but checking his blood work, they realize that he has been lying to his children about cancer so that they will spend more time with him.
While Alex wants to tell his family the truth, Ron sides with him because he also feels neglected by his children during the Holiday season. But after learning that Bob cheated on his wife and lied to him that she had died, he decides to confront him by threatening that they will report him for GoFundMe fraud.
While this trick does work, Bob does not tell his children the whole truth but instead tells them that he is now cancer-free and they should get on with their lives. While this is not the complete truth, Alex and Ron let it slide in the Christmas spirit.
Serena helps Joyce up their social media game in St. Denis Medical Season 1 Episode 6
After realizing that St. Denis Medical is lagging in its social media game with another hospital, Joyce decides to amp up their social media presence. Serena volunteers to help her because she does not trust her creative vision.
Joyce spends the day brainstorming ideas for content for their social media, going around the hospital, and asking doctors to share wild series from their department, but nothing seems to work.
Finally, Serena asks Joyce to go for it, and she does an impromptu lip-sync involving the whole hospital. The doctors and nurses join for a Christmas song, and the episode ends with them dancing and singing joyfully.
