Vincent D'Onofrio recently opened up on Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. He said that it's going to be "quite something" and will include a lot of action. D'Onofrio, who plays Kingpin, spoke to Collider:

"By the end of Season 2, there's something quite amazing I feel is going to happen."

Daredevil: Born Again is now filming in New York and some set photos have given us clues about what's coming up. We're expecting to see a strong Anti-Vigilante Task Force, which suggests that Daredevil might face more trouble from the law. Also, there could be a return of Frank Castle's Punisher.

Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead will return as well. The filming for this season will continue until July 2025.

Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again has some big surprises in store, especially regarding Wilson Fisk's battle with vigilantes. Recent set photos reveal that Fisk's Anti-Vigilante Task Force has gotten a serious upgrade. They're now wearing Punisher-like armor, which gives off a strong "police state" feel.

This suggests that Fisk's control over New York City is growing even tighter as he focuses on taking down costumed crime-fighters. Fisk isn't just a big shot in the underworld anymore; he's also making waves in politics.

These new, military-style cops make people wonder if there's going to be a big showdown between Fisk and New York's street heroes. There's a good chance we'll see Frank Castle, aka The Punisher, come back into the mix. This could mean he'll either team up with Fisk or go against him.

D’Onofrio hinted:

"We haven't read the scripts yet, but they're going to be delivered, and we're going to read them. But I do have an idea of some of the details of what's going to happen midway through and past, and it's intense."

As the story unfolds, we'll see how crime, power, and morality connect in the MCU. This plot gets more complex as it goes on.

Daredevil: Born Again connects to its Netflix roots

In 2023, Daredevil: Born Again went through a big change. The show switched from a format with separate episodes that could stand alone to one with a long story that goes through all the episodes, similar to the popular Netflix show. To do this, Marvel decided to cut the original plan of 18 episodes into two shorter seasons with 9 episodes each.

The man in charge of Daredevil: Born Again, Dario Scardapane, who also worked on The Punisher, has made sure that the second season will pick up from where the first one left off.

While still connected to the Netflix version, the Daredevil: Born Again showrunners are finding a balance between remembering what happened before and making something new for people who haven't seen it. This is important because they want everyone to enjoy it, not just fans who know the OG story.

Elden Henson's character, Foggy Nelson, is coming back even though it seemed like he might not. This has people guessing whether there will be scenes from the past. The show is also adding a scary bad guy named Muse, which makes us think it will have the same kind of thrilling and scary parts that fans liked in the Netflix series.

D’Onofrio promised that the story of Matt Murdock will keep getting chaotic.

He said:

"It's going to be emotional and full of physical altercations. [Laughs] I don't know what to say, but it's going to be a crazy season."

Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again will be available only on Disney+. The plan is to release it sometime early to middle of 2026.
