Netflix aired the latest batch of Love is Blind Season 7 episodes on October 8, 2024. The ninth episode of the social experiment featured one of the couples, Ramses and Marissa, meeting the latter's family members.

It was Love is Blind star Ramses' first meeting with his fiance's siblings and mother, Vanessa. Before meeting her family members, Marissa opened up to him about her mother. However, she was confident about Ramses since he was different from her past relationships.

After meeting Marissa's family members, they all casually discussed various topics. One of the conversations was about Ramses' dressing during their initial dates on the show's pods phase. Marissa’s mother teased Ramses about the same, and everyone else told the male participant not to pay attention to it.

Later, when Marissa's mother learned about Ramses' intentions regarding the duo's finances, she shared her concerns about the situation. Hence, seeing quite defensive behavior from Vanessa, fans took to social media platform X to share their concerns about her behavior.

Love is Blind Season 7 Episode 9: Ramses meets Marissa's mother

The ninth episode featured the first meeting between the couple, Marissa and Ramses, and the former's Mother, Vanessa, and the rest of her family.

While vetting her daughter's potential fiance, Vanessa seemed to be in an intense mood. Things were not going well for Ramses during the first meeting. It got even more intense when Vanessa learned about his first marriage.

However, he then mentioned that the reason behind his failed marriage was differences of opinion on religion, etc. Later, in the absence of Marissa, her mother had a chance to chat with Ramses alone. She talked about various things, including rough "upbringing" and how marriages don't mean "forever."

Vanessa also raised her concern to Ramses and told him to "get a prenup." She told Ramses that her daughter Marissa had worked "too hard" to get "f**** over."

Seeing such intense behavior and conversation from Marissa's mother, fans took to social media platform X to share their criticism about the situation. Many fans had similar views on what type of person Vanessa seemed to be.
