Snowpiercer is an American post-apocalyptic climate fiction drama that premiered on TNT on May 17, 2020. The show recently changed its streaming partner to AMC.
The series is based on the 2013 film directed by Bong Joon-ho and the 1982 French graphic novel Le Transperceneige by Jacques Lob, Benjamin Legrand, and Jean-Marc Rochette.
The fourth and final season of the show premiered on Sunday, July 21, 2024, on AMC. The show will follow a weekly release format, with each new episode airing on Sunday until the train reaches its "Last Stop" on September 22, 2024.
The show is set in 2026 when the Earth has become a completely barren frozen land. The catastrophe occurs as human intervention to overcome extreme heat goes wrong, resulting in a new Ice Age.
Some survivors manage to make their way to the perpetually moving train, known as the Snowpiercer, built by the mysterious Mr. Wilford.

What to expect from the remainder of Snowpiercer Season 4?
The brand-new Season 4 of Snowpiercer picks up right where Season 3 left off and with three new episodes being released, fans can expect a thrilling series finale.
The 1,029-car train has now split in two. Half of the passengers decide to stay on board with Melanie Cavill (Jennifer Connelly), while the others leave Snowpiercer to follow Andre Layton (Daveed Diggs) to New Eden (Horn of Africa).
Layton believes that New Eden will be warm enough to sustain life, based on the data collected on the train during the last six months of their expedition.
None of the passengers have physically ventured into the area, considering the dangers that might exist. But as Layton's people leave the train for the first time in seven years, they feel the sunlight on their faces, proving his theory right.
According to the brand new trailer of the latest season, Melanie and Layton, after finally escaping from the grasp of Wilford, are now set to face new challenges in New Eden. Just when the passengers assume things might be settling down, a new threat from the outside world emerges.
