Slow Horses is a thriller and comedy series streaming on Apple TV+. The show revolves around a band of washed-up MI5 agents who’ve made terrible choices in the field. While these choices didn’t entirely compromise the gravity of a mission, they did cause some serious issues for the organization.

As a consequence, instead of straight up sacking them or resorting to a more permanent solution, MI5 sends such agents to a premises known as ‘The Slough House’ in London. Mistakes such as compromising their cover in an undercover mission, reckless damage of public property, and failing to catch the bad guy turn them into well, a ‘slow horse.’

The series has a total of four seasons - Season 4 was released on September 4, 2024, and has 6 episodes - 2 of which have dropped. Throughout these past few episodes or maybe even seasons, viewers have been taking particular notice of the alleged sparks flying between characters Louisa Guy (Rosalind Eleazar) and River Cartwright (Jack Lowden).

Louisa has been through quite a tumultuous ordeal, especially after she lost her previous partner, Min Harper in a tragic road accident. It wasn’t easy for her to move on from him and start afresh with River.

The two eventually did hit it off well and now undoubtedly have each other’s back in a life-or-death situation. But will their affinity for each other turn romantic?
