Silo Season 2 Episode 7 recap: Who attacked Solo?

Apple TV's Silo Season 2 is based on Hugh Howey's trilogy of the same name. Season 2, based on Howey's first book in the trilogy, Wool sees the Mechanical's rebellion against IT and Bernard in its full swing in the latest episode.

Season 2 Episode 7 continues to present problems for Juliette as she is stuck with Solo, who demands that she help him to drain the water out first. However, things go wrong when Juliette's oxygen is cut off underwater.

After making her way back to the surface with much difficulty she realizes Solo is gone with nothing but a trail of blood left behind. This hints at the idea that Solo may have been attacked but the episode does not reveal who the attacker is.

Bernard continues on his quest to decipher Quinn's codes, and he gives Lukas access to the vault in Silo 18. This is the first time we learn about the contents of the vault, which is like a repository for art and books. He also gives Lukas a tablet that contains even more books, which might help decipher the codes.

Elsewhere, while Mechanical successfully executes a plan, they also discover a mole within them. Read on to find out who it is.

There's a new danger in Silo 17 in Season 2 Episode 7

Picking up from the events of Episode 6, Juliette tries to convince Solo that she will return to Silo 17 and fix his draining pump, but now she needs to get the word out about the outside world. But after Solo says he will die in the flood if she leaves him there, she agrees to help him.

She makes a makeshift device to pump oxygen and instructs Solo to pull her out when she signals. Then, she dives underwater to fix the pump. But suddenly, her oxygen is cut off, and the bucket under Solo's control also collapses.

Thinking that maybe her partner has betrayed her, she reaches the surface only to find that Solo has disappeared.

She finds a trail of blood, hinting that there is a new danger in Bunker 17, who has taken Solo hostage. While the identity of this intruder is not revealed, it is shown that the person is watching Juliette as the episode ends.

The Mechanical reveals IT's secrets in Silo Season 2 Episode 7

Mechanical continues their rebellion, bringing the higher levels' attention to Bernard and IT's ill practices in the latest episode. Using an engine, they make a rocket-type structure that they launch up towards the higher levels, which would then become a parachute, float down, and would also throw notes (with IT's secrets) while descending.

This way, Mechanical exposes Bernard's secrets to the higher levels. To take things up a notch, they also manage to cut the power supply, which does not shut down IT, to show that Bernard has a different power supply from the rest of the people.

The group discovers a mole in Silo 18 in Season 2 Episode 7

The Mechanical starts to question a woman who they think has poisoned their food, but she denies all their claims that she was, in fact, the one who warned them about the poison.

But after a formal police investigation, the woman comes clean and says she had poisoned their food, but only because Bernard and the IT told her to do so. Since her mother works with the Medical department, she was fearful that they would harm her mother if she did not follow their orders.

In addition, she was also the one who placed the kill order against Shierley and Knox on Bernard's orders.
