What to expect from Shrinking Season 2?
As Shrinking returns for its much-anticipated second season, fans can look forward to an interesting, humor-laced blend with emotional depth. The new season will resume in the aftermath of some big cliffhangers at the end of Season, primarily Grace's fallout over her shocking actions with her abusive boyfriend.
Jason Segel plays Jimmy Laird, who is likely to struggle with his mental health while trying to keep up with all his relations, as he tries to manage the needs of his patients. His way of giving treatment will continue to rile the beliefs of his medical colleagues, including Paul, played by Harrison Ford.

A brief recap of Shrinking Season 1
Shrinking depicts therapist Jimmy Laird, portrayed by Jason Segel, who is experiencing intense grief at the death of his wife, Tia, from a car accident. Feeling incapable of living with such pain anymore, Jimmy loses control and sometimes crosses the line of ethics to reform his patients.
Often at odds with his behavior and far-left theories are his friends, Paul (Harrison Ford) and Gabby (Jessica Williams), as well as his daughter Alice (Lukita Maxwell) and nosy neighbor Liz (Christa Miller).
Throughout the season, Jimmy is haunted by his own moments of growth and setbacks. He encourages one of his clients, Grace (Heidi Gardner), to leave her abusive husband, and that build-up ends in a shocking climax: months of emotional tension culminate in Grace pushing her husband off a cliff.
Now this drastic twist calls Jimmy's professional ethics and the outcome of his recommendation into question. In the series finale, Jimmie can be seen presiding over his best friend Brian's marriage.
Through it, he strongly presents himself as an even better marriage lawyer but, in doing so, displays some issues that he gets to face in handling the whole affair. It's a balance of comedy and drama that follows the exploration of issues such as mourning, healing, and complexities in relationships.
