Fans will see more of Jimmy and his clients as Shrinking Season 3 has been confirmed on Thursday, October 17, 2024. The comedy-drama is best known for blending humor with serious themes to make a compelling narrative.

The show came out in 2023, and quickly gained popularity for its story and engaging characters. Shrinking began with Jason Segel as Jimmy Laird, a behavioral therapist who decided to abandon traditional therapeutic practices after the death of his beloved wife.

Jimmy realizes the old methods didn't work well, so he starts being open and candid with his clients. While it helped many, this unconventional method also resulted in complications for others. This way, the series maintains its humorous and profound moments in the story.

The drama in Shrinking takes place right after Jimmy decides to break the rules and connect with his clients more deeply. While he was suffering the loss of his wife, his co-workers Gaby and Paul faced their own problems.

Jimmy's daughter is also devasted by her mother's demise and she's trying to keep up a good relationship with her father. As the season progressed we see Jimmy's clients connecting with him on a deeper level as he didn't care about being professional and shared his honest thoughts.

One of his clients Sean became so close to Jimmy that he allowed him to stay at his house. While this may sound good, it didn't let him open up about his struggles with PTSD.

We also see Gaby and Jimmy getting close and Paul having his own relationship. The first season touched upon the comedic and emotional aspects of the series, as each of its characters has their story.

While Paul has a relationship with Dr. Julie Baram, he's also concerned about his aging and opening up to his daughter Meg. The first season ended with a cliffhanger surrounding one of Jimmy's patients Grace.

Jimmy had advised her to abandon her abusive husband, and she took a startling step. Meanwhile, Alice finally finds peace through her neighbors and Paul.
