"Should have been Elma and Sammy"—Love Island All Stars fans react to Harriet and Ronnie’s exit

Love Island: All Stars season 2 episode 34 premiered on ITV2 on February 16, 2025. The episode saw two couples rounding up for elimination, and the ultimate decision revealed that it would be Ronnie and Harriet.

This was a huge shock to fans who started comparing them with the other couple, Sammy and Elma, who were saved after the elimination.

The segment saw dumped islanders coming back and voting for elimination. As the results were announced, Ronnie, Harriet, Sammy, and Elma were tied with 5 votes each. This meant a tiebreaker was to happen, and the power was given to Tina.

Before revealing her vote, she acknowledged her feelings and how tough of a decision it was for her. Tina said that she loved them both and was in tears. The cue card had Ronnie's and Harriet's names on it. This meant there were 6 votes against the couple. Their friends stood up and hugged them.

Love Island fans were mainly upset at why the ex-islanders were called and pointed out that this was "poor decision-making."

Fans are also hoping that Harriet and Ronnie will continue their relationship outside of the villa. It is because they got back together after a while, and Ronnie had wanted to pursue Harriet, and the show gave them a chance to rekindle the romance.

"can’t believe Ronnie n Harriet got dumped on Love Island, we lost a diva n her supporter," wrote a fan commented.

"I'm absolutely done with love island after coming home from work. Harriet & Ronnie gone and that vile Elma & her toyboy in the final. Done!" said another fan

Another aspect claimed by the fans was if the producers had to do anything with the votes or if they had rigged the game.

"Harriet and Ronnie are literally the realest couple this is the worst move the producers have ever pulled," wrote a fan on Twitter.

A few of them commented on how it was "unfair" to have ex-islanders come in to vote when they were very close to the finale and things should be left up to the public votes.

"Harriet & Ronnie would have won.. they were the favourites & Elma & Sammy should definitely have got the boot tonight... This isn’t supernanny, it’s Love Island!" a user pointed out.

Love Island fans were also upset with Tina as she decided against Harriet and Ronnie. They felt as if she was faking it all with her tears before revealing the cue cards.

"I hear Harriet yk. Not her biggest fan but that’s so fake from everyone hyping her and Ronnie up and wanting them back together then using that against them in the voting. Sneaky if u ask me," wrote a netizen.

Love Island All Stars fans criticize Harriet and Ronnie's elimination over Elma and Sammy

Back in the men's quarters, as Ronnie was packing up, the boys tried to console him by saying that the good thing out of all this was that he got Harriet back, what he had hoped for.

The girls also sat around Harriet and supported her by saying that her relationship with Ronnie is very "solid," and they will be able to work on the same regardless of being in the villa or outside.

Before leaving, they thanked all their friends and said a teary goodbye. Fans were not okay with the decision and hoped that Elma and Sammy would have been eliminated instead.

The elimination was a tearful affair. However, everyone consoled the duo that they would be able to continue their relationship outside the villa as their connection was really strong.
