Shoresy Season 4 ending explained: Did Shoresy decide to coach the Bulldogs?

Shoresy Season 4 was released on Hulu on February 26, 2025. The comedy sports drama, created and led by Jared Keeso, follows Shoresy as he leads the struggling Blueberry Bulldogs hockey team in Sudbury, Ontario, to the top of the Canadian senior hockey league.

Season 4 was based on his decision to retire from hockey due to his injury and to try out other career options - as a hockey analyst and a coach. As the season progresses, Shoresy struggles to find the satisfaction that he used to have in the rink. He craves for it throughout the season, whether during analyzing the game for BROdude or mentoring young players in the Blueberry Buddies program.

By the end of the season, the foul-mouthed captain Shoresy finally transformed into an understanding individual. He finally took Nat's (Tasya Teles) offer to coach the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs in the season finale. Throughout the season, Nat encouraged Shoresy to take up the position as she was aware of Shoresy's true passion.

In the Shoresy Season 4 finale, Shoresy sits down with the boys and asks them- " It's time to make a choice. It's the team or you". Shoresy proceeds to give a motivational speech that impresses everyone, including Michaels, who also feels that Shoresy would be a great coach. After some reflection, Shoresy barges into Nat's office to declare his decision.

Shoresy finally takes up the decision to coach the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs after Nat Letterkenny, the general manager of Sudbury Bulldogs, requests him throughout the season. Not just Nat, but Laura (Camille Sullivan) and Jill also previously asked Shoresy to join the Bulldogs as a coach.

The Shoresy Season 4 finale episode begins with Mason (Chase Coughlan) and Jack (Issac Kragten) driving to Laura's house. Jack honks his car to get Laura's attention and then reads a misspelled love letter that is addressed to Laura by Shoresy. In the comical letter, Shoresy expressed his love for Laura and his desire to take the relationship forward.

Shoresy, tired after running a marathon, collapses in Laura's garden. The two share an intimate moment, quizzing each other about their likes and dislikes. Not too surprisingly, the two know quite a lot about each other.

The Big Decision: Choosing Between Weird Sudbury and the Blueberry Festival Dance

Tension rises when the Weird Sudbury and Blueberry Festival Dance are scheduled for the same night forcing Shoresy to make a decision. He gathers the Bulldogs and gives them a heartwarming speech about accountability, urging them to make a decision that would be better for the team.

That night, the team splits, with Dolo, Goddy, and Hitch heading to Weird Sudbury while Shoresy, Michaels, and the Lakers attend the Blueberry Festival Dance. Meanwhile, Jack finally gathers the courage to talk to Maria Mercier in Shoresy Season 4.

Cory and Liam poke fun at Shoresy

In the finale scene of the episode, we see Shoresy take to the ice rink as a referee, where he meets Cory (Bourke Cazabon) and Liam (Keegan Long). They bully Shoresy for finally becoming a coach. Shoresy answers them back in his classic crude humor language. However, his character seems to have evolved, and he is slowly adapting to the role of a leader.

However, the future of the Bulldogs seems promising as the new coach is here.
