Netflix released Love is Blind Mexico episodes 5 to 8 on August 8, 2024. The latest batch of episodes featured participants meeting their families and introducing their respective finances. The couples spent more time together, got to know each other better before their weddings, and made their final decisions.
In episode 7, engaged couple Fernanda Riva Palacio, 36, and Gerardo Zapiain, 33, met each other's families. Gerardo met Fernanda’s mother and brother.
When Gerardo asked Farnanda’s brother, his thoughts about his sister getting married, her brother shared:
"She looks good. I mean, she looks happy."
What did Fernanda’s family think of Gerardo on Love is Blind Mexico?
In Love is Blind Mexico episode 7, Gerardo and Fernanda meet the latter’s family members, including her mother, Maritrini, and brother, Mariano. Fernanda’s brother wasn’t aware that his sister had a “fiance” and was getting married.
"Well, there was an experiment, and it all happened very fast, and they get along and they’re getting married," explained Fernanda’s mother.
Maritrini shared that Fernanda’s brother, Mariano, adores her, and Fernanda feels the same way. They have always supported each other. Later, Fernanda and Gerardo joined them, and Fernanda introduced Gerardo to her family. She said that Gerardo meeting her mother and brother was "really important" to her.
Fernanda’s brother, Mariano, initiated the conversation and told Gerardo that he wasn’t sure if his sister had told anything about their “dad and stuff.” He then shared that their father passed away 17 years ago. Gerardo replied that they hadn’t talked about it much because it was a sensitive topic and added that he would like to know more about their family and their dad.
Later, Mariano asked Gerardo if he was a dog person, to which Fernanda’s fiance said that they had “very different” opinions about how dogs should behave. Gerardo added that he and Fernanda have been discussing what kind of agreement they can come to.
During Love is Blind Mexico episode 7, Mariano then asked Gerardo if he wanted kids, which Gerardo affirmed and said they had talked about that, too.
"I never thought my sister would get married, so it’s a shock," Mariano confessed.
When Gerardo asked Mariano how he felt about his sister getting married, Mariano replied that Fernanda looked physically different, “like someone else.” He added that Fernanda looked good and she looked happy.
"Look, not to sound too cliche, but you seem like a really good person, and that’s really cool, honestly. It’s really great for her," added Mariano.
Fernanda’s mother said that Mariano really liked Gerardo; she could see it on his face and that he (Mariano) approved of Gerardo. Mariano and Gerardo both thanked each other, and they all had a toast.
Later, Gerardo shared in the confession that Mariano isn’t shy, but he’s careful with his words, and he thinks before speaking. Gerardo “really liked” him.
