The Big Bang Theory spin-off that was announced in 2023 has taken off from its prenatal stage by casting three actors from the original series. The upcoming spin-off has casted Lauren Lapkus, Kevin Sussman, and Brian Posehn, who will return as Denise, Stuart Bloom, and Bert Kibbler respectively.

The Big Bang Theory spin-off has casted Lauren Lapkus to return to her role as Denise, a role she played in the original series. Lauren Lapkus played Denise in eight episodes from Season 11 to Season 12.

Denise was the assistant manager at the comic book store owned by Stuart. Eventually through their shared interests, Denise becomes the romantic partner of Stuart.

Stuart, played by Kevin Sussman will also return to the upcoming spin-off. His character was a series regular in the original show and has featured in 80 episodes thoughout the series.

As cast members from the original series have been signed, it is safe to say that the series will explore what happened after the end of the original series. For fans who loved Stuart and Denise, this means that the upcoming spin-off will finally reveal more about Stuart and Denise's relationship.

As for other cast members, Brian Posehn will return as Bert Kibbler, a geologist who worked at Caltech and first appeared in season 6 before going on to feature in 15 episodes.

For fans wondering if Sheldon, Penny, Leonard, Howard, Raj, Amy, or Bernadette will come back, so far their return has not been announced. Kunal Nayyar who played Raj, was also asked about his probable role. However, he expressed that it was too soon to bring back Raj.
