Tatiana Maslany is ready to return to the courtroom and the battlefield. The She-Hulk: Attorney at Law star recently hinted that her time in the MCU might not be over just yet. In a recent interview with Screen Rant, Maslany teased the possibility of Jennifer Walters making an appearance in Daredevil: Born Again, reigniting excitement for the unexpected but fan-favorite dynamic between She-Hulk and Matt Murdock.

Back on the case? Tatiana Maslany wants in

[in my heart Matt Murdock and Jennifer Walters will ALWAYS be endgame]

If anyone knows how to build a strong argument, it's Jennifer Walters. And it sounds like her real-life counterpart is just as persuasive. During the premiere of her latest film, The Monkey, when Maslany was asked about the chances of She-Hulk returning in Daredevil: Born Again, without missing a beat, she responded enthusiastically:

"I mean, absolutely, he was so great. He was so fun, like a really fun person to play with."

Her enthusiasm for collaborating with Charlie Cox spoke volumes. Their scenes in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law combined comedy, action, and an unexpected romantic spark with unquestionable chemistry. While Marvel has yet to confirm anything, Maslany’s words suggest she’s more than willing to suit up again, both in the courtroom and on the streets.

Beyond just their chemistry, She-Hulk’s legal expertise could naturally fit into Daredevil: Born Again. With a series expected to dive into the intricacies of law and morality, having Jennifer Walters step in would add depth to Matt Murdock’s challenges, both inside and outside the courtroom.

Maslany isn’t the only one interested in seeing these two cross paths again. Charlie Cox himself has expressed enthusiasm for further developing the She-Hulk and Daredevil dynamic.

"I had such a blast working with Tatiana. The characters' chemistry was really strong."

Cox has previously hinted that he’d love to explore more of Matt Murdock’s interactions with Jennifer Walters. Their collaboration in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law let Daredevil have a lighter, more whimsical side, which is something Matt Murdock hardly gets to highlight in his tales. With Daredevil: Born Again slated to bring back important characters like Karen Page, Foggy Nelson, and Frank Castle, the show might use some of She-Hulk's vitality to offset its darker tone.

Even more fascinating is Jennifer Walters' challenge of Matt Murdock in ways other heroes would not. She is more than just another masked vigilante; she is a legal powerhouse. She and Murdock have different conceptions of justice. She-Hulk sometimes supports openness, while Daredevil depends on silence. If the two get back together, this contrast can create an intriguing conflict.

The history of She-Hulk and Daredevil in comics

She-Hulk and Daredevil had several comic book exchanges long before they shared the screen in the MCU. Two of Marvel's most well-known lawyer-heroes, they have collided in street clashes and court cases. With both characters sometimes battling for justice in unusual ways, their courtroom interactions have ranged from professional antagonism to genuine respect.

One of the most prominent comic arcs with both heroes had Daredevil standing in for a client against She-Hulk in court. When supervillains intervened and highlighted their different approaches, the legal fight rapidly turned physical. Matt Murdock typically lives in the shadows, whereas Jennifer Walters welcomes the public aspect of her heroic identity, which results in quite different methods to deal with (and do) justice. Their dynamic is full of possibilities whether they are rivals or allies.

Why She-Hulk’s presence makes sense in Daredevil: Born Again

Jennifer Walters isn’t just a powerhouse in the courtroom, she’s also a formidable hero who balances legal strategy with brute strength. Daredevil: Born Again is shaping up to be a legal-heavy drama, and She-Hulk’s expertise could fit seamlessly into the narrative. Jennifer's presence would add a dynamic layer to the show's storytelling, whether as an ally in Matt Murdock’s legal battles or as someone challenging his methods.

Given how She-Hulk: Attorney at Law played with the fourth wall and meta-commentary, it would be interesting to see how Jennifer Walters interacts with Daredevil: Born Again's more grounded, gritty world. Would she break the tension with humor, or would the show offer her a more serious storyline? Her inclusion could serve as a bridge between the MCU’s legal heroes, showing the contrast between their worlds while still maintaining cohesion.

Additionally, her presence could hint at a bigger role in legal battles in the MCU. With characters like Daredevil and She-Hulk both active, Marvel could be setting the stage for high-stakes courtroom conflicts involving super-powered individuals, a concept that has been widely explored in comics but rarely on screen.

What Tatiana Maslany brings to the MCU

Maslany’s portrayal of She-Hulk brought a unique energy to the MCU, blending comedic timing with emotional depth. Unlike many other Marvel heroes, Jennifer Walters openly embraces the absurdity of her world while still delivering heartfelt moments. If she appears in Daredevil: Born Again, it wouldn’t just be a fun cameo, it would be an opportunity to integrate her more deeply into the broader Marvel universe and set the stage for future projects.

Maslany’s ability to switch between humor and serious drama makes her an asset to the franchise. She has proven she can carry a series while also complementing other MCU characters. A crossover with Daredevil could allow her to explore more dramatic material while still maintaining her character’s signature charm.

Beyond Daredevil: Born Again, a return for She-Hulk could mean a bigger role in upcoming Avengers-level events or a second season of her show. While her first season had a divisive reception, there’s no denying that Maslany’s performance was a highlight. Pairing her with established MCU veterans like Cox might be exactly what’s needed to solidify her place in the larger narrative.

What this means for the future of She-Hulk in the MCU

For now, Maslany’s cameo in Daredevil: Born Again remains in legal limbo. The series is slated to premiere on March 4, 2025, on Disney+, bringing back familiar faces from Daredevil’s Netflix days. Whether or not Jennifer Walters joins the fight remains to be seen.

The MCU has a habit of keeping surprises under wraps until the very last second. Given the fan response to She-Hulk and Daredevil’s interactions, it wouldn’t be shocking if Marvel found a way to bring the two back together. Will She-Hulk be called to testify in Hell’s Kitchen? The jury’s still out.
