In season 13 episode 11, Raquel Graham appeared on the show where she pitched her company, Roq Innovation, and made an ask for $200,000 in exchange for 15% equity in her company.
Shark Tank is a show where many entrepreneurs pitch their company before some of the most successful business leaders with the hope of getting an investment in exchange for a certain percentage of their company. The show has been on since 2009, and is currently running its 16th season.

Roq Innovation, a Chicago-based company that sells headlights and headbands was featured on Shark Tank season 13. The founder of the company Raquel entered the show with the hope to get $200K for 15% shares of her company. However, things took a different turn.
Kevin O'Leary, a shark known for his cutthroat critique commented on her energy during her presentation and called her "a crazy chicken." Graham, who had gone through a lot before she was able to build her venture didn't take O'Leary's comment lightly and replied with tears in her eyes:
“I’m not a crazy chicken, I’m really driven. I do a lot by myself, but I know I can improve on some things.”
Raquel revealed how she got misdiagnosed with fungal pneumonia and ended up on a ventilator for a month, O'Leary complimented her on her steer dedication:
"“You championed over adversity, that’s good."
She further revealed that the products of this venture made their way to Oprah Winfrey's 'Favorite Things 2021 List.'
After Lori Greiner, Mark Cuban, and Daymond John decided to not make an offer. It was between Kevin O'Leary and Peter Jones.
Impressed by the numbers ($2.4 million in sales in six years), O'Leary and Peter Jones decided to make a joint offer. They decided to offer $100,000 each in exchange for 20% stakes, and a royalty of $1 until the investors get $600,000 back.
What happened with Roq Innovation after Shark Tank
As of 2024, Roq Innovation is still in business and has been able to make sales of more than $4 million since its appearance on Shark Tank. The company also made it to Oprah Winfrey's 'Favorite Things 2021 List for three consecutive years. It has also been featured in The View, Good Morning America, The Drew Barrymore Show, Forbes, and Black Enterprise.
The company also launched a new product called 'Handy Lightz,' a flashlight glove to their product list. Kevin O'Leary and Peter Jones still continue to be a part of the company and guide them towards success.
Roq Innovation from season 13 of Shark Tank made a deal of $200,000 for 20% stakes, and a $1 royalty until $600,000 is repaid to Kevin O'Leary and Peter Jones. The venture is still in business and has made more than $4 million since its appearance on the show.
