After a long wait, we now have an official release date. Severance Season 2 will premiere on Apple TV+ on January 17, 2025. Though production delays slowed things down, fans won’t have to wait much longer.

Season 2 will probably pick up right where season 1 left off, with the innies gaining control of their bodies outside the office. Their rebellion against the Severance program will likely face resistance from Lumon, and watching them navigate this new freedom will be thrilling.

One of the biggest mysteries from season 1 is about Mark’s wife, Gemma. How did she end up working for Lumon, and why doesn’t she remember Mark? Season 2 is expected to explore this.

With many loose ends, fans have come up with theories. Some think Helena Eagan could become the main villain, while others believe Lumon’s Severance technology might be more widespread than we think.

Dan Erickson, the show’s creator, hinted that season 2 will focus more on the characters' outie (personal life) versions. He also teased that we’ll learn more about Helena Eagan's motivations and Lumon’s true goals.
