Severance Season 2 Episode 7 Recap

Severance Season 2 Episode 7, 'Chikhai Bardo,' looks at different moments in time and tells a few stories at once. The episode shows Mark and Gemma meeting for the first time at a blood drive on a college campus. Their relationship is shown, including tough times like when they couldn't have a baby and miscarriage. This helps us understand their lives before they went to Lumon.

In the present time of the story, we find out that Gemma is still alive, but she is stuck in a scary Lumon building. She is in a part called the Testing Floor. The people there make her go through a hard time, mentally and physically, by making her live separate lives in different rooms and forget who she was before.

While this is happening, Mark is getting better from a seizure in his home. His sister Devon is taking care of him, as the whacky Reghabi leaves abruptly after telling her not to call Mrs. Selvig/Cobel.

The episode makes it clear that the car accident we thought killed Gemma was probably just a trick by Lumon, and she has been trapped since then. She still cares about Mark a lot and wants to be with him again. The episode finishes with Gemma trying to escape but getting caught again.

What might happen on Severance Season 2 Episode 8?

Episode 8 of Season 2 is set to bring new secrets and revelations. After the last episode of Gemma being held by Lumon and Mark's effort to save her, we can expect changes. The show might go deeper into the Cold Harbor file, which is important for understanding Gemma's problem. If Mark can make progress with this file, it could help him rescue her.

As Mark gets all his memories back, he is likely to speed up his search inside Lumon. This could mean he will have to deal with the company's higher-ups or even see his friends turn against Lumon. There is a chance we will see more of a split within the company, with Milchick going against what Lumon is doing.

This episode seems to be mainly about Cobel, and we might learn more about why she is so loyal to Lumon. It is supposed to be a quick-moving story with important moments that could give us answers or throw in some twists. This will likely get us ready for the big finish of the season.

The title 'Sweet Vitriol' makes us think there will be sad and happy happenings.
