Severance Season 2 is back, and fans are buzzing with excitement! The second season of this Apple TV+ hit series is set to premiere on Friday, January 17, 2025, with new episodes dropping every week.
This season promises even more drama, mystery, and emotional depth, with 10 episodes for fans to dive into the strange world of Lumon Industries.
Episode 2 will release on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 9:00 p.m. ET, but if you're eager, check for an early release on Thursday night. Episode 2 will likely pick up on the shocking events from the first episode, with more twists and turns, as alliances change and the stakes get higher.
Recap of Episode 1
Season 2 kicks off right where Season 1 ended. Mark and his coworkers are still dealing with their “severed” lives, where their work memories are completely separated from their personal ones.
Mark S. tries to cause trouble by writing a threatening note on Lumon stationery to frame Mark W. He’s caught by Milchick, who reads it aloud, but it’s the insult to Milchick that bothers him more than the threat itself.
Mark S. is demoted from Department Chief, and in a desperate move to distract everyone, he pretends to break the kitchenette and runs to Milchick’s office to beg the Lumon Board to reunite him with his old team. The next day, he’s back at work, and his team, Helly, Dylan, and Irving, are with him.
A manager who also happens to be a child named Miss Huang leads them to the break room, where they discover a video rather than a punishment. The video, Lumon is Listening!, is a funny claymation about Lumon’s history, the team’s rebellion, and some new perks for employees. Milchick offers them a choice to stay or leave Lumon, and they choose to stay.
The team then shares their personal stories. Mark S. reveals his outie’s wife, Ms. Casey, is alive, which shocks everyone. Helly lies about her outie’s life, and Irving admits he’s heartbroken after finding out his love interest, Burt, is married. Dylan comforts him, and they agree to stay and uncover more secrets about Lumon.
Dylan is also told by Milchick about a new Outie Family Visitation Suite, but he keeps it a secret. Mark notices a project called "Cold Harbor" connected to Ms. Casey’s disappearance, which hints at a deeper mystery involving the team and Lumon.
The episode sets the stage for new challenges as the team tries to uncover the truth about Lumon while facing personal struggles.
