A fancy lunch results in a clash during Selling The City premiere episode
Selling The City stars and realtors, Jade and Eleonora have been friends for more than 10 years now. However, being in the same profession and firm often means clashing on ideas, deals, and clients. The first episode of the show gave the viewers a brief introduction to the agents working in the eminent real estate firm, Douglas Elliman.
Eleonora Srugo, who had a great year doing 75 million dollar listings, has set up a team of all-girl relators which excludes Justine and Jade, who both work as individual agents in the firm. Eleonora's team includes Giselle, Jordyn, Abigail, and Taylor. The episode panned out at the Douglas Elliman office where Eleonora was taking quick updates on the listings and deals from her team.
Later, the episode jumped to a posh property where Justin and Eleonora met a potential client, Ofir who happens to be "Jewelers to the Stars". The viewers also have a sneak peek at Justin and Eleonora's romantic affairs that fueled in the past through their confessionals. The two also discussed Eleonora's new team and Jade "starting her team" which did not seem like a preference for Jade.
Later, in the episode, Jade called for a get-together over a fancy lunch, where she called another realtor, Steve, to celebrate their whopping deal. They were joined by Eleonora, Justin, and Taylor, leaving behind three agents. The rest of the group who were not invited cheered a few drinks over the reason for not getting an invite by Jade.
However, the fancy lunch turned into an awkward clash between Selling The City stars Jade and Eleonora. Both had their reasons to take a jab at each other. Eleonora felt that Jade was trying to "steal" Taylor from her. She added during a confessional
"Jade's lunch is very odd. I don't know what she is doing, showing off to Steve and chumming it up with Taylor."
Jade, on the other hand, confronted Eleonora after Steve and his wife left about her behavior but Eleonora just left saying all was fine. Jade was mad at Eleonora for walking out like that. She told Justin and Taylor that Eleonora's behavior was "miserable", hinting that if she behaved like that with her, Eleonora might be in trouble.
Selling The City debuted on Netflix.
