Selling The City Episode 2: The two agents clash over a showing; Taylor opens up about her marriage

Selling The City's debut season on Netflix has all the right notes to hit. With posh listings, amped-up competition, and a lot of personal relationships at stake, the season served the fans with all they could have asked for. The season released all eight episodes in one go on January 3, 2025. The Douglas Elliman agents are fiery, shark, and have got their teeth deep into the business.

The second episode of the series revolves mostly around the agents vying with each other over listings and proving that they are the best in the hood. The episodes panned out at The American Copper Building, where Eleanora was joined by her team. They met with the Chief of Operations, Mayer Orbach, who wanted to list his other apartments and townhouses vis Douglas Elliman.

Other major highlights of the episodes included two sets of agents competing to be the best. Eleonora and Jade find each other at a crossroads again after the awkward lunch. The two seasoned realtors find cutting each other during the conversation while showing an opulent apartment to Eleonora's special customer cum friend.

Later, the men in the business, Steve and Justin, try to grab the spot of the winner when it comes to the real estate business. Selling The City episode 2 also witnessed Jordyn and Abi bonding over personal stuff and Taylor opening up about her marriage to Eleanora.

How do things unfold for the Douglas Elliman realtors in Episode 2 of Selling The City?

The Douglas Elliman realtors are professional and mean business at all times. However, a little jab, healthy competition, and a pinch of salty discussions seem to be part of the trade. Episode 2 of Selling The City was a testament to how these realtors can turn to real sharks when it comes to a listing. Forget about colleagues being the best of friends could turn sour on each other.

Episode 2 of Selling The City witnessed another blip between the "close friends" Jade and Eleonora over a showing. Jade was the one in charge of showing the apartment. However, Eleonora kept on adding or rather interjecting with information that Jade felt was her job. On the other hand, Eleonora kind of hijacked the client by asking her to look into all the options.

Well, at this point, it was not just the ladies locking horns with each other. Steven could not help himself from calling Justine a "cute puppy" who doesn't quite fit the arena when it comes to "athletic or real estate." He saw himself as the clear "winner." The two discussed the rift between Jade and Eleonora during lunch, to which Justin had a view that "Girls will be girls."

However, the episode also witnessed a bonding happening between Jordyn and Abigail over an outing. They opened up about how they got into the real estate business, and fans heard a name, "Trevor Noah," which sure was an intriguing revelation. Jordyn revealed that she dated Noah when he was not a big star, and that is one of the reasons why she was in New York.

The episode ended with an emotional discussion between Taylor and Eleonora about Taylor's marital life. She expressed that it has been hard for her to find a work-life balance which was surely affecting her personal life. Eleonora suggested Taylor should focus on her happiness and find a way to hold on to her personal life as well.
