Selling the City - Eleonora tells Steve about her beginnings

During Selling the Sunset episode 3, we saw Elanora and Steve hang out at his beautiful mansion in Greenwich. The two got to talking about properties and how they began their respective careers. Eleonora revealed,

"I wasn't born here. My mom and I moved to the States together. I grew up in the village and then landed in Soho before sort of it was what it was. I saw the African Art Musuem turn into Prada and the post office turn into Apple."

Eleonora was born in Israel, but soon shifted to the United States to build a career. Continuing about herself on Selling the City, she says,

"My mother certainly wasn't evolving in that way. She was still the artist, trying to, you know, make ends meet. So, really, for me, seeing her struggle, I felt that, the minute I graduated high school, I was like, I'm never going to ask her for anything again. So I spent many years just being laser-focused on work. So, this life now, it's fun for me because it's something I never had."

Selling the City - Eleonora talks about her career with the group

In Selling the City episode 4, while trying to clear out things with Taylor, Eleonora talked about her past how she began her career as a real estate agent, and why it hurts her when people think she hasn't worked hard to get where she is. She said,

"Everyone knows I had this stellar year last year. It was a really game-changing year for me ... But I said this year is the year where I need to give other people the opportunities and access to things I didn't have."

Eleanor continued why she wants to do everything for her team on Selling the City because her previous boss was not like that at all.

"...to give you the platform to do it in a way where you're not worried, where you don't have to think about money or eating or how you'll get home because you'll always have me taking you back in an Uber, or dropping you off, or telling you to bring your clients out and covering the meals."

Tearfully, Eleonora continues about her past saying,

"You know, I have a blanket at my house that the f*cking cat sleeps on that I still keep because it is the f*cking blanket I slept on for six months because I didn't have a f*cking mattress on the floor. I hope you guys hear me that I was sitting with a boss who had a Rolls Royce and a driver and everything, and he gave me nothing."

Continuing about her initial career, Eleonora explains,

"I would walk home in the f*cking cold and hope I had enough money to get something to eat. I went yesterday to see this penthouse apartment that is my f*cking dream home for myself, my mother, my grandmother..."

This explains the humble past and beginnings that Eleonora had to go through to be able to reach the top as a woman in business. She continues to talk about her further hardships as a successful person and how people always try to justify it through some means that are not true.
