Selling the City releases on Netflix on January 3, 2025. It is a spinoff of Selling Sunsets and Selling the OC. In the same format, we will witness sharp real estate agents who are competitive and sell properties in New York City.
The details about Selling the City were confirmed by Netflix recently. The platform has also released a trailer that introduces us to the cast. It also gives a beautiful glimpse of properties about to be featured on the show.
The series will focus mainly on the agents from the company Douglas Elliman. In the lead will be Eleonora Srugo, who will have to put a team of four together.
Selling the City Details
Netflix has released an official description of the series:
"From the creators of Selling Sunset and Selling the OC comes Selling the City, a new series following a dynamic group of no-nonsense, kickass agents at Douglas Elliman as they navigate the cutthroat world of luxury real estate in New York City.
It continues:
From intense competition to the fast-paced careers and personal dramas of these agents, Selling The City promises to deliver all the excitement against the stunning backdrop of the city’s real estate landscape."
Selling the City Cast
Netflix has also revealed a list of cast members for the series. Lead cast member Eleonora spoke to Tudum about her time on the show:
"You see me on the show with diamonds and helicopters, but that’s not what it always was. That’s actually an honour and a blessing that I get to experience based on years of hard work. In New York, we’re scrappy and dream big, and it’s nice to show that those dreams can come true, and they come true here.”
The rest of the cast includes:
- Giselle Meneses Nunez
- Abigail Godfrey
- Jordyn Taylor
- Jade Chan
- Justin Tuinstra
- Taylor Middleton
- Steven Gold
Talking about the difference of what they have in New York City versus the empire that the Oppenheim Group has built in LA, Eleonora said:
"We're a little grittier, and a woman is leading the team. The city also takes everything to another level. There's a really high barrier to entry in this market, and it makes it extraordinarily competitive."
With the Selling the City series releasing soon on Netflix, we will see tonnes of drama accompanying any reality TV show. Although we will see real estate agents in action, the show will also remind us that, in essence, they are friends with emotions, and sometimes, situations will test their patience.
While talking about her team, Eleonora expressed:
"A lot of [the estate agents] are longtime friends that I pulled into this and we’ve built a lot of really deep experiences together. Now all of the girls are putting real numbers on the books. They are financially independent, self-starters, and in control of whatever their business means for them. But I’m not fulfilled yet in the vision that I have and what I want to accomplish."
Release Date
Selling the City will drop on Netflix on January 3, 2025. We will witness New York's charm right at the start of the new year.
In one clip from the trailer, we can see cast member Jade furious and exclaiming to the Netflix crew:
"I am not doing this. If any of this sh*t airs, I will sue every single one o your as*es."
This gives a taste of what is about to come with this group of New York City real estate agents.
