What happened in the previous episode of S.W.A.T. Season 8?
In S.W.A.T. Season 8 Episode 13, 'High Ground,' Officer Gamble was put on leave because of an investigation. Powell was worried about her and planned a trip to divert her mind. Gamble had not completed the paperwork needed for her defense, which made it seem like she was not taking the situation seriously.
During the trip, the girls went on a difficult hiking trail where they met a man and later found a pregnant woman named CC who needed help. While trying to assist her, they realized the man they had met earlier was part of a drug operation. He found their police badges and called for backup, forcing them to run.
Without a phone signal or radio, they had no way to call for help. Powell wanted to escape, but Gamble insisted that they go back for CC. When they did, they discovered that the criminals were also forcing people to work for them.
They managed to outsmart one of the captors and reached a house. When the cartel leader, Minh, found out they were there, he ordered to get the farm burned. Gamble and Powell fought back and rescued the captives. The S.W.A.T. team then arrived just in time to arrest Minh and save everyone.
