"The show I think is beloved in the executive ranks at CBS, the show is beloved by our audience. But we also understand that a corporate change is happening in that world. I don’t know what the plans are."
What happened in S.W.A.T. Season 8 Episode 12
S.W.A.T. organized a sting operation to catch dangerous local gang leader Duc Trinh. Miko, who had previously worked undercover with an Albanian mob, met Stefan Morina, who worked with his uncle and father. Stefan had a history of drug abuse and was involved in a drug program to escape his family. Miko was pulled off the case due to his involvement with Stefan, who suffered from drug abuse.
Stefan initially stayed with the gang to gain credibility, but his father and uncle did not respect him. They left him with the grunt work to pay off a loan from the Russian mafia. Miko tried to convince Stefan to leave the life. Miko lied about his involvement in a major drug bust, but he was truthful about his desire for better for Stefan.
Stefan told the cops about the drug bust, and Miko broke cover to stop Omar and his men from killing their way into the warehouse. SWAT moved in, killed everyone, and arrested Omar. Miko later spoke with Stefan about entering a witness protection program and hoped to stay clean.
Another incident occurred at SWAT Academy, where some recruits were injured, including Deacon's friend Dobers, who cannot become a cop or train to become a SWAT. Dobers now needs a cane to help him walk.
