RuPaul’s Drag Race season 17: Guest judges revealed

MTV has released a lot of details about RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 17 and one of them is its guest list. The season is set to premiere on January 3, 2025, and will feature lip-syncs and twists. It will air at 8 PM Eastern Time on MTV on Fridays.

The announcement about guest judges dropped recently on December 4 and had all the fans excited about seeing their favorite celebrities on stage. As for the cast, we will have contestants coming from all across the United States. RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 17 is all set to serve talent and drama on our screens.


RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 17 Guest Judge List

  • Katy Perry: Katy Perry will feature on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 17 Episode 1 titled Squirrel Games. She has recently stepped down as a judge from American Idol.
  • Doechii: Doechii has been nominated for the Grammys and in the new trailer for RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 17, looks absolutely stunning. She is quite popular for her hit track Yucky Blucky Fruitcake.
  • Sandra Bernhard: Sandra is a comedian/actress and actively advocates for LGBTQ+ rights. Her most popular work was with Robert De Niro in The King of Comedy.
  • Julia Schlaepfer: Julia is an actress and we have seen her as Alice in the Netflix series called The Politician. She is bound to bring drama to the Drag Race stage this season.
  • Paul W. Downs: Paul is an actor/comedian. His work on the HBO series Hacks which he won an Emmy and a Golden Globe, is largely appreciated. He has also starred in Broad City as Trey.
  • Hunter Schafer: Popularly known for her role in Euphoria as Jules, we have seen Hunter being a fashion icon in various events. She is an LGBTQ+ advocate and likes to give her creative contribution to the transgender community.
  • Quinta Brunson: Quinta is an actress/comedian who is widely known for her work in the sitcom Abott Elementary. Her videos online have made her a viral icon and a celebrated voice in media.
  • Jamal Sims: Jamal works as a choreographer and director who has worked on projects such as Step Up, Hairspray, and Aladdin.
  • Law Roach: Law Roach is a celebrity stylist and is widely known for styling stars like Zendaya, Anya Taylor Joy, and Celine Dion. Roach often opts for bold and glamourous fashion choices which awes everyone at red carpets. He is also a judge at America's Next Top Model.
  • Adam Lambert: Adam has previously tarred in American Idol and rose to fame. His speciality was vocals and theatrical performances which make him a perfect judge for RuPaul's Drag Race Season 17.
  • Betsy Johnson: Betsy is a fashion designer known for her eccentric designs. She brings uniqueness and individuality to American fashion.
  • Whitney Cummings: Whitney is a comedian and actress known for creating 2 Broke Girls and her sitcom Whitney. She always has thought-provoking opinions on relationships and life.
  • Sam Smith: Unholy singer Sam Smith is set to grace the stage at RuPaul’s Drag Race. They have won multiple Grammys for their musical work and even an Oscar. Sam is an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community.
  • Jerrod Carmichael: Jerrod is a comedian, writer, and actor. His most prominent project is The Carmichael Show and he has also garnered praise for his work in Rothaniel on HBO which won an Emmy.
  • June Diane Raphael: June is an actress and comedian who is widely known for her roles in shows like Grace and Frankie. She is also a co-author of the book called The Feminist Survival Guide to Raising a Toddler.
  • Tracee Ellis Ross: Tracee is best known for her roles in Girlfriends and Black-ish. She is the daughter of Diana Ross but has proven her legacy. She advocates for women's empowerment.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 17 Release Date

RuPaul’s Drag Race season 17 release date is on January 3, 2025. The episodes will air on MTV at 8 PM Eastern Time. RuPaul’s Drag Race Untucked will drop right after the episode ends at 9:30 PM Eastern Time.
